What can you use instead of Firefox? • Librewolf or Waterfox if you like FF, but don't trust Mozilla • Zen or Floorp if you like FF, but want a fresh UI • Brave or Vivaldi if you care about privacy and security and ready to switch to Chrome • Palemoon, Otter or Falkon if you miss classic browsers

Trevors (1990) starring Kevin Bacon @slimyswampghost.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

Some of my favourite lesser-known 50's B-movie monsters. Titles in the alt text.

The Monster That Challenged The World from the film of the same name

The Crawling Eye from the film of the same name!

I finally got around to design Mello and Matt's flats (yes, plural) and drawing out this first one was just so much work but so much fun haha This is so far out of my comfort zone pffff

You also have to be careful when slitting throats. If you're trying to be quiet, but cut the windpipe, they can make this really loud gurgling sound. It goes on for ages too. It's much better to use a knife to the brain stem, garotte, tomahawk, or suppressed pistol. *Rainbows* The more you know!

I never posted this here, but I made a pretty big write-up over on Tumblr for anyone interested in learning #pixelart! It's a guide on software, fundamentals, jargon and resources. Since links are legal on Bsky I can share it: www.tumblr.com/tofupixel/75... #tutorial Hope someone finds it useful!

A screenshot of a tumblr post reading:

"Title: So you want to learn pixel art?
Subtitle: Part 1 of ??? - The Basics!

Hello, my name is Tofu and I'm a professional pixel artist. I have been supporting myself with freelance pixel art since 2020, when I was let go from my job during the pandemic."

Two images comparing artistic improvement, the left is of a rudimentary tree, and the right is of a statue in a wall recess surrounded by plants and dappled light.

"My progress, from 2017 to 2024. IMO the only thing that really matters is time and effort, not some kind of natural talent for art.

This guide will not be comprehensive, as nobody should be expected to read allat. Instead I will lean heavily on my own experience, and share what worked for me, so take everything with a grain of salt. This is a guide, not a tutorial. Cheers!"

Retweet to save an artist's life

Various reference photo poses of someone holding a bottle, showing difficult to draw angles

Various reference photo poses of someone gesturing with their hand palm up, showing difficult to draw angles

Various reference photo poses of someone holding forks and spoons as one would use to eat, showing difficult to draw angles

Various reference photo poses of hands of all different poses showing difficult to draw angles, like holding a door frame or grasping a ball or doing up a zipper or just resting on a table
