Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Belen does have it in her locker, so there is hope.🤞 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Belen Ortega's design for Kory in the new ongoing is really good. Do wish they'd embrace the curls again though. #Starfire 140
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I've always thought that the Discowing suit was cool in an ironic way, but Dan Mora ACTUALLY makes it cool. 031
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Will deffo be adding Vixen & Static to the pull list. 030
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/10/2026With Jimenez on Batman, Janin on Detective, Samnee on B&R Yr One, and now Redondo on Justice Year & Rodriguez on Shadow, there's an insane amount of A level artistic talent on Bat books. 043
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/10/2026It was on the cover of Absolute Batman and somehow I didn't see it. Think he has interchangeable bionic legs because I seem to remember he had more regular looking legs while he was talking to the Robins. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 09/10/2026The more things change, the more they stay the same. 🤦♂️ 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I love the Absolute universe and how all the characters have been reimagined. That being said, this is the first time that I've really paid attention to Deathstroke's design and now I can't stop laughing. 120
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Had fun with these two issues. For Batman, it's purely for the Verity/Bruce banter and Scalera art. For Batgirl, Brombal & especially Miyazawa tapped into that hero has to get across a city trope that I'm a sucker for. That and two people show up to help out that I didn't expect even though.... 120
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 02/10/2026So, Batman Justice Year then. At the risk of boring everyone to tears with this, I am a massive Bruno Redondo fan so I was always getting it. A book detailing the early years of Batman dealing with the JL & written by Josh Williamson is just the cherry on a delicious cake. 294
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Yeah, I think @davekflynn.bsky.social is right and the new Williamson/Redondo project is a Batman & the Outsiders book. 020
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Josh Williamson posted this then deleted it. Regardless of what it is, Bruno Redondo on art is an automatic pick up for me. 230
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Hickman taking shots at Marvel for his Ultimate Spider-Man run. 120
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Episode 7 of #Lanterns was, again, fantastic. I do think that some people need to brace themselves for Hal Jordan not coming back at the end of this show. Also think it's clear who killed Hal now, and I don't think that's gonna sit well with others either. 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 24/09/2026.... I've ordered my own copy of #1 and will pick up #2, because I appreciate what Kyle Higgins is shooting for and I like Val Rodrigues's art. So for now, I'm in. 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I'm very precious about any John Carpenter movies, believing they should never be remade or expanded upon. So I initially ignored this until a friend of mine offered me their copy and told me I should read it. Turns out, it was, as a first issue, not bad. I'm still very cynical about this, but... 110
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I'll stress that I still liked #24 of #AbsoluteBatman but I think this is the first time in the run where I felt it was a little rushed, a little too packed and didn't have enough room to breathe for certain moments. Still really good & far & away better than the majority of books on the shelves. 130
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Damian Wayne confirmed to be in Nightwing for at least the next 5 issues, which means we get a Dick & Damian team up. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in..... 020
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I'm beginning to sound like a broken record but #Lanterns is so fucking great. It's relied heavily on the brilliant chemistry between Kyle Chandler & Aaron Pierre obviously, but the writing is striking that perfect balance between being it's own thing, and connecting to the larger DCU. 140
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Happy #BatmanDay everyone. Seems like I've got more of a Bat addiction than I realised. And that was only a small sample that I could fit in. 😳 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 19/09/2026If Damian is becoming a regular in Nightwing, then I'm gonna start picking the book up again. #BatmanDay 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Was interested in this Avengers book before I found out MiracleMan or whatever the fuck they're calling him is on the team. Not so much now. Meh. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Absolute Wonder Woman by Chris Samnee and Ryan Ottley. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Mild spoilers for Dark Knights of Steel II #3. I know this is an Elseworlds book, but why have they made the choice to make Barbara Gordon look almost exactly like Kori? I mean they've even put her in the same colours. 110
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 15/09/2026He already did his version of DKR and it was ass. 110
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Read Batman & Robin Year One DD #2 (I consider it #14 though) this lunchtime and it is just a joy. It's very Batman TAS in tone, with villains that aren't the obvious ones from the rogues gallery, but that are still interesting none the less. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Sold his soul to the devil, giving up his hot super model wife and their future daughter, to save this old crone, only for her to forget who he is. Peter Parker, the dumbest mf'er in the Marvel universe everyone. Lol. 120
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I tell you what, I did not expect the Gotham Central Bad Seeds tie in to be the stand out issue of this event so far, but here we are. This was damn good. Hats off to Chris Cantwell and Jacob Phillips. 100
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 26/08/2026I liked Batman Knightfall. It reminded me a lot of the animation style DC used to use for Under The Red Hood with an added 90's aesthetic. Was surprised by how graphic it got in scenes and was only really disappointed in the execution of one particular scene which I felt should've had more impact... 140
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Nightwing #141. I love this Dustin Nguyen variant cover. Unfortunately this Bludhaven Lore arc, not so much. It's suffered from uneven pacing & dragged out plot points & this issue is a culmination of that. I'll stick around for the Dick/Damian team up issues and then I'm officially out. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 19/08/2026I remember people optimistically thinking that Wacker's appointment as EIC of Marvel would maybe help turn things around creatively. They've since announced yet another Origin book, because that last one was so successful. And Dan Slott on Spider-Man.🤦♂️ 120
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 19/08/2026If DC ever wants to revisit the Dick/Damian Batman & Robin era, then Dan Mora has to be the guy to do it. Holy shit. 283
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 16/08/2026This is me(again) trying to will a Spider-Man/Daredevil team up book into existence. They say never to put a pitch on the internet, but a World's Finest style(New York's Finest?) book, where Matt & Peter know each others identities & are going up against each others street level villains. 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Glad to see Daredevil is gonna be in S2 too, with Charlie Cox voicing him again it sounds like. Still waiting on that live action team up though Marvel.... 021
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 16/08/2026I watched S1 of Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man more for the Romero art style in the animation, but found the storytelling fluctuated between really good & meh far too often. Glad to see they're going to be leaning into more classic villains in S2, but the inclusion of Spider-Gwen gives me pause. 241
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I'm not gonna lie. That Granov variant cover plus these preview pages are sorely tempting me to give Zdarsky/Checchetto's Avengers a try. 220
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Absolute Batman #23. Wow. This is a jaw on the floor, mind blowingly incredible issue of comics. If you've already read it, don't spoil it. If you've not, read it as soon as you can. Trust me. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Batman & Robin Year One: Dynamic Duos #1. Seriously @dc.com give me @markwaid.bsky.social @chrissamnee.bsky.social @matlopes.bsky.social on these characters, in this time period, for as long as they want to do it. Because this is a joy of a read. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Barbara Gordon Breakout #4. This ain't working. Nahuelpan and Bonvillain are elevating everything with outstanding art and colouring, but the writing is making it far too quick a read, far too repetitive and ultimately not very engaging for the reader. Shame, because it's a gorgeous looking book. 020
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 11/08/2026To this day, I still wonder where they were going with this. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Read #3 of The Deadman today. The art is, as always, fantastic but there is some very clever use of panels, a multitude of style changes and is just an overall inventive issue of comics. I love the writing which feels like a lesson in mythology in parts but still has some entertaining dialogue... 120
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Well I need a refresher read before next week then. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. 😏 110
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Looking at the breakdown of where to begin with Johns run(thanks to @comicbookherald.bsky.social) it'd be a difficult ask to piece together something coherent for a compact book. 010
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 03/08/2026A Doug Moench Batman Omnibus and Beatty/Martin Batgirl Year One Compact book is coming. DC continues to do the lord's work. 020
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Amazing Spider-Man #166. It's a Christmas issue, The Lizard fights Stegron with Spidey in the middle, Dinosaurs, wedding announcements. I was hooked. 000
Scott G 🏴 @thegrayson.bsky.social · 01/08/2026I mean if the end result is Babs back in the chair, then great. But otherwise it's been a fairly underwhelming series. 021
