"Bold of you to assume the line would want some grubby, selfish brat heading the trains!" "Selfish? Is wanting to be the best and a hard worker selfish? I know this harbor and track more than any other engine! What more do I need to give??" "Some basic manners, for a start!" #TTTE #ThomasAndFriends

Seems there were plans to launch Fireman Sam in the US in the mid 90's. There's talk of a 30 minute pilot here, which presumably would have been redubbed footage from the UK version. A surprisingly big name was lined up to voice Sam too... (Bristol Evening Post, 14th June 1994)

Wanted to wish a Happy 81st Birthday to the one and only Britt Allcroft - the woman who created Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. Thank you for creating all those wonderful memories, and for making our childhoods just a little bit brighter. #thomasthetankengine #thomasandfriends

Full color illustration of a purple, magenta and bright orange sky background with many white, glittering stars shining as a puffy white cloud with a railway track on top of it whips in front, with a small blue steam locomotive pulling three dark red box shaped railway cars behind it. The locomotive is Thomas the Tank Engine, who has cerulean blue paint, red striping, yellow window trim, black roof, six small blue wheels, a red running chassis, and a white running board with a headlamp. Smoke is coming out of his chimney. He's looking up at a figure - illustrated from the chest up - who's looking at the viewer. It is an artist's representation of Britt Allcroft, creator of the TV series adaptation of the Railway Series, Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. Britt has dark blonde hair with red streaking, blue eyes, a red shirt with a black coat over it, and a silver necklace. Her name BRITT ALLCROFT is in capital sans-serif letters below her.

Never would I ever expect that Fugget About It and AEG have some sort of a connection. /jk
