Halo: Combat Evolved. Up until Halo: CE, I thought that If you wanted an action-heavy game, you had to sacrifice story. Or if you wanted a story-heavy game, you had to sacrifice action. Halo: Combat Evolved proved that a game could have BOTH & completely rewired my brain in the process.
