50 years old today! (… really not sure how that happened) Having a fab time in Tallinn tho!

6/10 for The Mandalorian and Grogu … enjoyable enough popcorn fodder, but not a lot going on with character/narrative development, a LOT of CGI monster fights, and a fairly flat send-off if that’s the last we see of them But … Grogu remains cute ;)

Have resolved to spend more time sitting out in my (communal, but private) garden space this year ☀️

Watching the Artemis II lunar flyby seemed to demand this gorgeous watch be worn

Artemis II crew 3 men, 1 woman 2 of them are Victor and Reid … this is totally our universe’s version of the FF origin story 🤣

Yet again reduced to tears of laughter by the utterly awesome Garry Starr … if you have ANY chance at all to see this in the next two Sundays, just grab it Supremely silly 🥰🥳🤣

Read the book earlier in the month, which is a series of loosely connected short stories, separated across centuries, which felt much more affecting - the film comes from the title story only

Enjoyed this BUT didn’t think it developed enough beyond the short story and, great as they are, both Mescal and O’Connor have delivered much more intense-but-restrained 🏳️‍🌈 performances than this, the depth of emotion felt a bit lacking (also, took AGES to find a showing, surprisingly few screens!)

I usually ask kids in clinic what TV and films they’re watching and one teen this week said “The Goonies” and then followed it up with “Toy Soldiers” which is probably the most niche response I’ve ever had to that question (I was slightly obsessed with this film aged 14)

Short, intense, novel as two men (one Wee Free minister, one solitary islander) with no common language are forced together in strained circumstances on a remote island in the Clearances era Enjoyed it (thanks for rec @drjje.bsky.social!) but could have done with latter third being more developed

Failed to read any of my book but did finish Heated Rivalry - really loved it (and not just for the shallow reasons!)

020

Mike @thefourthcraw.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

My evening plan is chill, read some of my book, watch some Heated Rivalry, psyche up for back to work, and I’ve not done one of these “ask me questions” in ages so why not? (Will prob answer any questions, if any, on Instagram tho) ngl.link/thefourthcraw2 IG: www.instagram.com/thefourthcra...

Really enjoying using Lumenate Nova to chill out and decompress 😍 (it uses flashing LED lights together with sound/music (including your own picks) to create visual kaleidoscopes against closed eyes … this was Tchaikovsky’s 6th)
