Thanks for the reminder, I’ve been meaning to watch The Substance. I liked Weapons okay: I’m a sucker for pretty much anything with Benedict Wong, and the dark comedy of the ending was fun. But I thought the structural choices worked against it, and I have to admit I really didn’t find it scary.

Tough call, but I think I’d go with the airstrip fight from “Raiders”. Exciting, funny, and both fighters reveal a lot about their characters with almost no dialogue at all. Ford especially, as he rolls from clever to desperate to furious with perfectly corresponding changes in physicality.
