The short of it... My neck / shoulder / middle back could have anything from a collapsing or rupturing disc, a fracture, or a hernia. Since we're skipping PT and injections, the surgeon wants an MRI to better understand just what happened inside to cause my right arm to simply fail and the pain.

National Hurricane Center forecast for Hurricane Isaias, issued October 9, 2026, at 4 PM CDT. Isaias is a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph, moving north at 17 mph. The storm is approaching the northern Gulf Coast, with landfall expected Friday evening near the Alabama-Florida border. Hurricane warnings cover portions of the northern Gulf Coast, while tropical storm warnings extend inland across Alabama and surrounding areas. The storm is forecast to weaken while moving north through Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky over the weekend. Hazardous conditions can occur outside the forecast cone.

GP then referral-referred me to a specialist's office for orthopedics but said I should see a neurosurgeon. Appointment was last week but they cancelled the DAY OF because the doc was needed. New appt is this Wednesday and I'm nearly out of what little pain-control meds I was prescribed. No refills.

Posted about it over on my stream bsky but I was in the ER on the 13th and 16th for the loss of complete sensation and control in my right arm / shoulder. They doped me up on some meds at the first hospital, the second hospital sat me waiting for several /hours/ just for them to refer me to my GP.

I'm (almost) sure that Frostpunk 1 didn't have AI slop use, but 2 and The Alters definitely did. It's sad how companies can make a solid foundation of a game without it, and then somehow manage to make and put out a worse game after with the use of it. Almost feels like there's a correlation there.

Aye. I was looking forward to Alters but once found that 11 Bit started slop diving I lost all hope for it and dropped it from the wishlist. Steam itself needs to be FAR more aggressive with ensuring the AI slop label goes at the top of store pages and not fine print at the bottom of them.
