you do this in chapter 3 and there are 4 chapter afterwards. the island board is also where the ice palace is... i do think these may be foreshadowing the next bosses. The Titan being represented by the Fountain, Flowery by the torn flower... but then i have to assume the cactus is a lil abstract...

( #deltarune spoilers) so like am i insane (yes) or are these actually (some potentially abstract) foreshadowing. like i know predicting things in deltarune is actually a losing game. but, i was just thinking about the torn flower and then realized one of the other pictures was a Fountain...

i think gaster is meant to be a "real mystery" but that part of the point of it is that it's something that's unsolvable. it's just that putting something like that in your story sometimes makes everyone assume it's actually the secret that solves everything.

i think this sort of reading of Kris has always been my preferred one and while i do think the game is also trying to imply/do some stuff about/in regards “our connection“ to it/Kris (for various reasons), it is rather frustrating that people tend to dismiss this reading of it wholesale.

i think to most people the egg stuff only exists in the "weird" category from what i've seen? idk maybe that's just me going back and forth between the two a lot. there's a lot of things that definitely are important to both that either "side" quickly discard because they think it's the other.
