Saw these two taking photos in Aspen and could tell they were enjoying spending time with each other, posing etc. so I snapped this shot of them as we were finishing up our ice cream. Tracked them down soon thereafter at the park and gave them this photo. Found out they are on their honeymoon. :)

Did the Chicago Triathlon Sunday with the Mrs. and middle daughter. We did a team relay: Mary swam, I rode the bike and Grace finished up with the run. We got to cross the finish line together and they grabbed this photo of us. Great memory!

D. Harrington Duff first understood the power of great storytelling when he went to see E.T. in the theater with his mom. As Michael came upon E.T.‘s lifeless body, cold and gray by the creek, the boy who would grow up to write this bio looked up and over at his mom sitting next to him to find her holding back tears. Tears over characters she’d only just met. That heart-tug feeling, the emotion that catches you off guard, is what he chases in every screenplay he writes.

A Syracuse University BFA graduate, Duff spent a formative year driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile across America, from major metropolitan areas to small towns off the beaten path, and everywhere in between, curing a lifelong shyness by talking to strangers along the way. That cross-country education in people, place, and story shows up in his scripts.

He lives in the Ozarks with his wife, three daughters, and a one-eyed cat.

Do you like key lime pie? Do you like after dinner drink? This is amazing: 2 oz Maior (gin based botanical), 1 oz simple syrup (we had one with vanilla), 2 drops of Vanilla extract (no more needed) and one whole lime squeezed (ours were small so I squeezed two). Shake over ice. Enjoy!
