I really wish the Dragon Ball guidebooks were available digitally (specifically the Chozenshuu). I'd happily double dip and buy them a second time just for the convenience.

Takara Tomy couldn’t be bothered to include four new pieces to make this possible out of the box. So, since I couldn’t find my extra 30MM joints, I finally ordered a set of Kotobukiya’s MSG ones. The blades are now processed & attached, just like in the first Battle Film.

Kakarot’s best original joke is having a planet named after temp workers that you can hire temp workers from.

Guess the infection is gone. Hearing has been back for a bit, but everything is just slightly “weird” and muffled or whatever in said ear. Like it reshaped my ear canal or something and now sound is processed differently. Going to keep expectations low and assume that’s permanent.

Having a fun time with an ear infection that has rendered me half deaf.

So glad I don’t care about boxes, because Miku became Squishku. (I assume Goku was too strong to squish. But they probably tried.)

Toyo does fine on DB, most of the time, but he absolutely butchered Domon. Borderline unrecognizable.

Nothing like taking almost 20 years to realize that it might not have been Booby World that the blind kid Boo healed opened in DBO....but BooBii World... Because he gave himself the name Bii... And it's both their names...

TheDevilsCorpse @thedevilscorpse.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

While there was no name, gender, or design attached at the time, the overseer of the Time Patrol in DBO was only a Time Kaiō (시간의 계왕). Meanwhile, for Xenoverse and beyond, Chronoa is the Time Kaiōshin (시간의 계왕신). So congrats on the promotion between franchise gigs.

Given the recent Super/Daima combo lore drop about Nameks being from the Demon Realm, XV3 is primed to introduce a new interpretation of the Naraks from DBO. But they won’t. They’re cowards.

It’s only one episode, but I really enjoyed the new Ghost in the Shell. Hope it does well. That way more people jump in the retro aesthetic bandwagon and we get a beautiful renaissance.

New Fu looks fugly. But it does at least feel more “Dragon Ball” than the Dark King form Heroes gave him. Tweaks will be made.

Sandrock Armadillo Lizard has been out for a bit. I need the next MG GotL variation announced now, plz. There’s like a dozen left they could theoretically do. Whether it’s full kits, an expansion set, or whatever.

Being a broke gamer means caring about a very small handful of franchises (like 1-3), appreciating all the other titles being announced, but ultimately being disappointed at almost every announcement event.

Netflix announced the third season of Devil May Cry is the final one. I fully expect to be tortured afterwards though with Devil Never Cry, followed by Devil May Cry: Fortuna, and then Devil May Cry: Mobile.

New cast member (Super Broli) joins the antagonist shelf. I can’t wait till I can replace most of the others too. We need a new Z Broli & Perfect Cell, and I can’t believe we still don’t have Pure Boo after all this time. At least it should look good when we do now…

TheDevilsCorpse @thedevilscorpse.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

Thinking about how all the press material during Battle of Gods gave us so much information on scrapped content for the film. And then, instead of reintroducing said content when it came for Super to retell the film, they changed basically everything else to be less fun instead.

Opened up the timeline doc for my mini DMC project and noticed that my notes for Season 1 of the Netflix show only covered up to Episode 2… Guess Season 2 was more interesting (despite Season 1 being better) just because it was adapting a trash villain from a trash game.

I’ll believe a DMC1 remake (or DMC0 /DMC6 for that matter) when I see it with my own eyes. Good things aren’t a regular occurrence in this franchise. Even when we do get a gift like DMC5, it gets minimal DLC support and then pushed aside until whatever miracle pops up next.

The new Figuarts SS Vegeta arrived. His ego is literally allowing only his half of the picture to be illuminated despite the light source being directly in front of the shelf.

Reminder that Netflix only cancels good material. So we’re probably in for like at least five seasons of DMC.

Opted to take a relatively minor savings hit to finish paying off my phone and cut the bill in half. I still have nightmares from like a decade ago when I paid the extra lease price for almost 6 months because I didn’t know the carrier would never process it as a final buyout. Scummy snake shit.

Had chest pains for a while earlier. Probably not a panic attack; I’ve had those before. Suppose I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but if the TV depictions are remotely accurate, I assume I could tell…? Just another medical mystery to go unsolved, I suppose.

Gunpla dealer stopped carrying Zoids last year since they don’t sell as well. Thankfully, Hobby Lobby decided to carry the RMZ. But it’s been a real crapshoot knowing what kits they’ll decide to pick up from it. When they do have one I want tho, that 40% off sale is cheaper than all alternatives.

The new Figuarts Freeza looks nice. I wish it had a more relaxed face without the brow ridges tho (example below). Then it would’ve been perfect.

Latest Scrubs episode felt like even more of a return to form with all the legacy characters this time and more bullies for JD. Ultimately was pretty good as a season finale, but a little underwhelming if it ends up serving as a series finale. So hopefully they get a renewal.

Kubota mentioned that Toriyama gave Orange Piccolo a red belt by mistake back during Super Hero. This was corrected for the artwork used during the Genkidamatsuri trailer. Tho, I question how you give something the wrong color if you're the one designing it. Was Orange Piccolo not Toriyama's doing?

First cour of the new Samurai Troopers show is wrapping up. Happy we got it, but can’t say that this is what I expected. Haven’t looked into the staff, but I’m curious what they might’ve worked on prior. Is the show mediocre because of the staff, or are the staff being hindered by other factors...?
