Guess I struck a note … JB’s people deemed me an “unreasonable and bad faith troll.” @govpritzker.illinois.gov , I was a supporter through COVID. I think you can do good things. You dropped the ball with ISP and Broadview. Bad faith is telling the national media one thing while ISP cracks skulls.

I’d start with not sending the Illinois State Police to assault, harass, and abuse protestors. Then: not plastering yourself all over national media claiming you are fighting for us. Next: arrest violent, lawless “agents.” No need for Trump’s ICE when the ISP becomes ICE Supplied by Pritzker.

I don’t disagree with that one bit. The NRA has managed to improperly dictate what the 2nd Amendment means TO THEM. There is NO right that is completely unfettered, nor, as I said before, is there any other right only effectively afforded to those who can afford it. It’s about profit, not rights.

I applaud the individuals in Portland, but I ask what has it prevented? Chicago, New Orleans, Charlotte … all would like to know. Again, I am not saying violence is THE answer. I’m saying there is a time when it becomes an answer. “Don’t give them reason” is not sufficient. Look to history.

I agree it is sad that we have to hold these drills, but I’d rather hold them than wish it wouldn’t happen. The cause is not worship of guns but in people feeling unheard/bullied/so desperate this is their only recourse. In other words, the people nobody fought for. Maybe we should fight for them.

I don’t speak for everybody. I am not saying “I’m pissed, so let me shoot people.” I am saying “We are being physically assaulted and terrorized, so quit with this crap of ‘don’t give them a reason.’” The reason for drills is to prepare for emergencies, just like fire drills, tornado drills, etc.

I didn’t say that was the answer. I asked a question that I am curious to know the answer to. I teach at an inner-city school. I disagree about this being the reason for school shooter drills. Allowing people to believe there is no consequence for their actions is the cause I see on a daily basis.

I get it, I do. As parents, we are often “forced” to find the easy means to the end. When we lose sight of what the end is though…Is it $20 and a store-bought sweater, or is it experience and building school community? Don’t track one down. Take her to the craft store and enjoy the family bonding.

An iguana in a kimono is NOT a Komodo dragon (nor is it a Komodo dragon queen). Giving it ketamine could make it a comatose dragon. Sending it to Indiana may make it a Kokomo dragon. This whole line of buffoonery feels like a big Komo-no no.
