Had my probation meeting at work today and my manager told me that when he was reviewing my quality he actually phoned his manager halfway through to say he wasn't doing any more than 3 checks because it was a waste of time since I'm so good at my job 🥺🥺

was working on my campaign setting's cosmology the other day and @ladyoflore.seeks.quest was helping me lay out and name the various planes of existence! there's a lot of planescape and forgotten realms influence, but I feel like I've managed to put an interesting spin on the whole thing!

just finished murtagh! what a story. murtagh is definitely one of (if not my absolute) fave characters in the whole series. him and thorn dealing with their trauma and having to face and overcome their greatest fears was so emotional. highly recommend the inheritence cycle for all fantasy fans!

currently having a go at a reputation system for my party since they're becoming so politically influential! it's got info on what each faction's opinion on the party is, as well as what they are willing to sell/ give to them. it gives the players an idea of where they stand in the world!

currently working on the elvish language in my world its got lots of prefixes and suffixes with expansive meanings, as well as some branching meanings depending on whether you're speaking elvish or the root language sylvan! weaving it more into my setting to differentiate elven settlements better!

A new cantrip called Splash Launch. The text reads verbatim:

Cantrip, conjuration

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous
Classes: Druid, Sorcerer, Warlock

You place mana into any nearby liquid source , and force it in to rush in a straight line toward a point of your choice within 30 feet of the source. The liquid follows the most direct path, splashing over barriers up to 5 feet tall or wide.
You can move up to 1 gallon of liquid in this way. If the destination is occupied by a creature or object, it is doused. At the DM’s discretion, this may extinguish flames, apply certain effects (such as oil or alchemist’s fire), or interact with spell components (such as Create Bonfire or Grease).
At Higher Levels. This spell’s range it can detect and launch increases to 60 feet at 5th level, 90 feet at 11th level, and 120 feet at 17th level. In addition, the amount of liquid you can move also increases to 3 gallons at 5th level, 6 gallons at 11th level and 10 gallons at 17th level.

since i was thinking about it, i really have to say my biggest pet peeve in dnd is how stationary combat can become. in the base game, its almost never worth provoking that opportunity attack to get a better position, so combats end up becoming a mosh pit of pcs and monsters...

Something I really appreciated about the ending segment of The last of Us Part 2 is that when Ellie and Abby are fighting, the QTE prompts are positioned in a way that they could be applied to either character, which I think really epitomises their conflicts and how, in the end, no one really wins !
