Thrilled to announce my next book and reveal the cover art by @redpharoahart.bsky.social. ANIMUS PARADOX is a short standalone sci-fi action novel. David is a P.I. hired to find a thief—but the job quickly becomes more than anyone bargained for. Apply for an ARC 🔗 forms.gle/A5GhZarKLya2...

Since we're at almost 900 followers and I just had an artshare, how about we'll have a ✨ WRITING SHARE ✨ instead? I want to see the first paragraph of your most recent work! • share this post for visibility • remember ALT text! • share & comment on other's writing • no AI #writersupport

Thanks for doing a share :D this is from the dark fantasy/eldritch botanical horror I have coming out 22 October:

Text: "Einaid brushed her fingertips over the fresh sigils engraved on her throat. Under the curse they laid, her vocal cords seared. She pulled her fingers away from the deep lines and hatches. Blood trickled down her sea-grey skin in thin rivulets of red.

Red.

Three days ago and since the moment of her conception, Einaid’s blood had been white."

I told myself I wasn't going to go crazy with illustrations since I have so many character portraits left to do and edits to get through before release in September, but the call of the illumination aesthetic was too great 😬

Hiya! I'm Emory, and I write/illustrate Dark Fantasy novels. I'm also new to Bluesky! Stay tuned to hear about my characters' unhinged exploits + the ridiculous amount of lore I've created, along with the occasional history rant 🙂‍↕️ I'd love to connect with other readers, writers, and illustrators!
