RIP Jeff Cannonball. I didn’t know Jeff but he’s a Jersey indie guy who loved Norm Macdonald and soda, so we have a good amount in common. We even worked for the same company for a time. 39 is far too young, especially for a man with a 2 year old and was universally adored by his peers.

But even the easiest brain surgery is still brain surgery. I’ll admit, I‘m scared as hell. But we have to move forward to preserve what vision I have, and hopefully recover some of what I’ve lost. I’ll keep y’all posted as this moves forward. Love y’all.

In some ways I‘m very lucky. My friend is the director of anesthesiology at a hospital in south Jersey. He’s helped me line up extraordinary care. I also have so many great friends and family in my life to support me. The odds of a full recovery are high, 98%.

So I’ve been alluding to having a serious medical condition, and with treatment scheduled, I can disclose that it’s a benign brain tumor pushing on my optic nerve. At the end of the month, I’ll be having brain surgery to remove it.
