Night of the Living Dead. Designing in black and white was much more of a challenge than I remember it being, but it turned out pretty damn good. #Theatre

Playing Riftbreakers 2e in my very limited free time and it's clicking with me in a way other solo games haven't. I think it's the strong gameplay loop of explore-> event/battle-> reward. Which is bread and butter in typical ttrpgs, so it may just be proof that solo journaling games aren't for me.

AI images being "good enough" for people to post in public is really wearing me down. This is especially true for people who work in creative fields or are artists in other ways. It's like boomers and emojis? People use them because they're cute but they're just... not correct.

Haven't posted in a minute. Started a new job, been working on a second edition of my game, and designed lights for a bunch of really cool shows. Anyway, here are a thousand ants I saw while taking a walk the other day!

Kitbashed an Ork Trukk for a Necromunda Ash Wastes campaign. It has been quite a journey building and painting it. Largest mini I've ever finished. Real proud of it. #miniatures #wargaming #nerdlings

Converted an old foam case into a double sided metal one for magnetized minis. Ended up riveting the top plate as the hot glue would fail almost immediately given any weight. Planning to paint the exterior with ork glyphs come warmer weather. #wargaming #miniatures #nerdlings

“The gestapo comparison lets you condemn terror without interrogating lineage. Slave patrols force you to admit that American terror didn’t need a dictator. It needed law. It needed paperwork. It needed permission. It needed neighbors that said ‘well that’s just how this works.’”

Smoking bans were great once we had them, it is obvious in retrospect, no sane person would want to go back. "Indoor smoking ban, but for shitheads." Easy peasy.

Even before the Revolution, theatre played a crucial role in the cultural life of the American colonies. One of the most popular plays of the era - and a personal favorite of George Washington’s - was Joseph Addison’s 1712 tragedy CATO.

Took a pic at the first public meeting of the Harrisburg chapter of The Dionysium. Learned how paddington 2 and the shawshank redemption are basically the same film and heard a formal debate about the merits of Grease 2 over Grease the first. 10/10 would join the esoteric order again.

I had used pva glue to affix sand to the wire and it just didn't hold up. I stripped it off, sanded/filed the wire for texture and tried wood glue last night and it's holding firm! It sucks having to redo things but that's partially what this experiment is about. #terrain

Played several hours of the solo rpg Iron Valley by @mkirin.itch.io tonight! Big thanks to @solorpglist.com for featuring it. It has captured my imagination in a way that Ironsworn just didnt. Did you know gargoyles can reproduce by shedding slivers of themselves that they nurture into adults?
