Starting to lock things down for this year's @theceruleanproject.bsky.social with the yellow theme for this year and following what is now my tradition of doing a Gundam x 40K crossover this will be a Nobel son of Dorn. Although TBH Gustav Karl sounds more like a Black Templar #nerdlings #gunpla

A partially customized HGUC Gustav Karl Type-00. A large blue mobile suit holding a weapon resembling a double barreled pistol in its left hand and its right hand balled into an oversized mechanical fist across its left shoulder is a shield with a skull emblazoned cross. Trying to gauge interest in participating in The Cerulean Project this year. The color would be yellow, this would probably be the last year of it. Would like to go out on a bang. Let me know are you in or not!

Hey all, I’ve sent out two emails. One went to 2024 alumni with a copy of the digital book. The other went to everyone and contains a link to submit your entry for 2025. Mine ended up in spam, so check there if you don’t see it.

Best of the year? Definitely. Possibly one of the favourite things I've ever done. An Orca battle suit from @pipermakes.bsky.social painted for this years @theceruleanproject.bsky.social definitely not inspired by any well meaning fish people. #Nerdlings #FindFolkFriday #warhammer40K

A large, mostly blue mech standing in a ruined and overgrown structure. The structure appears to me made from a sandy coloured concrete and their are vines and other vegetation working on reclaiming it, to the left of the image you can see 2 flags with alien script being engulfed by the vines. The mecha has a large cannon in place of it's right form arm and is steadying itself against a portion of the ruins with its left hand. The mostly blue armor has white details and some yellow accent (seemingly picking out areas of caution like vents). Accompanying the mecha are to small hubcap shaped drones, one low to the ground on the left of the image is scanning the structure and the other to the right, hovering above the ruins appears to be forming a protective energy shield made of green light.

A close up of the scanner drone, it is white with a black "cap" on the top surrounded by yellow greeblies. It has a green eye on the front emitting a similarly coloured scanning beam aimed at the ruined structure it is investigating.

A close up of the shield drone. It is hovering to the right of the mechs shoulder above a ruined tower. It is white ring with a black sphere suspended in the center, on the sphere are a series of yellow greeblies. bellow the sphere is suspended another white disk with 3 stubby 'legs' protruding from it. The drone appears to be emitting an energy shield formed from clear green hexagons

A close up of the chipped and scared shoulder armor of the mech. Where the armor is dented and pitted you can see a lighter shade of blue peeking through the dark blue top coat. There is an alien design picked out in white running the length of the panel but it too is scratched and scared.

Hey all, going to extend the build window to Dec 31st. I know a number of you have been working and life has gotten in the way. This year has been incredibly tough, so I’d like to at least provide an opportunity to end on a high note. Please spread the word and holler with questions.

Todays hobby progress. Not quite as much painting as I would have hoped as I am still trying to work out the last few kinks printing clear resin but I managed to give the legs a coat of satin varnish and got a start on the left arm and torso. #warhammer40k #tau #miniatures #minipainting #nerdlings

An arm and torso for a large mech. The arm is painted a dark purplish blue, the torso is mostly grey primer with vents and hatches picked out in yellow and red.

Pretty much done my first project this year for @theceruleanproject.bsky.social I've got paint on everything, the theme colour for this one was of course blue. Just needs a few touch ups and a round of flat coat. #gunpla I think I'm gonna go in order of the provided list, orange is next.

Back once more from the drawing board! tweaked things a lot and have added a few more parts to the mix. I've got forearm chain guns, leg boosters, and extended the shoulder joints to help make the torso look just a little bit wider. @theceruleanproject.bsky.social #gunpla

my @theceruleanproject.bsky.social book arrived today. It looks so nice and there are so many amazing pieces in it. I'm proud to have mine be included with them. #ceruleanproject #gunpla #gundam #plamo

A large red landscape format hardcover book sitting on a desk covered by a large green cutting mat. In front of the book stands a customized gunpla figure with a hammer and shield, it is also painted red.

An interior shot of a large hardback book spread open showing 2 pages, on the right is a single large image of a custom gunpla figure painted red. On the left are two smaller images showing details from the right hand page and a column of text. The text is illegible in the image, but it gives the name of the piece and the artists (me) handle on instagram as well as a description of the work done and the theme of the piece.
