Love to drop off my car in the morning for ~$300 worth of work to then get a call 2 hours later that it’s actually going to be $600 and then told another 2 hours later that they found something else and it is actually going to be about $1100. 🙃🙃🙃

Maybe this is naive, but I’m hoping the fact that nobody is going to be able to afford a new GPU for the next few years is going to force devs to keep things optimized for current-gen hardware for awhile. Hoping to get a few more years out of the 4070 I bought in ‘24.

I had put off seeking out a dx for a long time because I was pretty sure I was just weird in a non-medical way, but I finally went to a psychiatrist about it earlier this year and they did the evaluations and it was like "oh yeah, absolutely textbook adult adhd case."

Absolutely agree. He really seems to believe that we are in a world where *being right* will ultimately prevail because the systems, while maybe slow and imperfect, reward correctness. And if that was ever true, it isn't now, and he looks completely out of touch with reality making that argument.

There aren’t a ton of things I miss about living in Miami, but having access to good quality mangos is definitely one of them. These were ~fine~ for grocery store mangoes this time of year, but man I miss the good stuff.
