Jesse @thebigfatj.bsky.social · 30/09/2026i think a good rule is "if it has a throttle, or can otherwise go without pedaling, it's an e-moped or e-motorcycle. The issue is that manufacturers are making e-mopeds or e-motorcycles and adding pedals because of regulatory confusion. 000 0

Jesse @thebigfatj.bsky.social · 15/09/2026yeah, absolutely. I don't think it was a very good test, it was just a test that sounded right at the time. it also didn't imagine we could create such huge datasets of associations and auto-regressively process so much (Key-value caching is important there, but it's still enormous) 130 0
Jesse @thebigfatj.bsky.social · 15/09/2026at least the transformer based models convert prompt tokens to numbers during prefill and perform vector math during decode. At its core it is just math. It's accurate to say there's zero intelligence but useful concepts like attention added to tokens. But its output could pass a touring test. 100 0
Jesse @thebigfatj.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I have no question but i do have this comment: while It's just game one and a lot changes over the course of an NFL season, LaFleur does seem to stick to his tendencies. The pack will surely have good games, but even if they make the playoffs, we have no reason to expect a new pattern. 000 0

Jesse @thebigfatj.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Right, the connector cost problem may eventually sufficiently improved so that the market for these includes fancy residential houses. Like almost all Elon claims, his claim of having solved solar tiles was just a lie meant to serve a specific purpose for him. 021 0
Jesse @thebigfatj.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Shocking. This is what people who looked into the issue were saying at the time. Elon used this product (which wasn't ready) to justify the bailout of his investment and his family's investment in solar city using tesla investor money. (he also got a billion dollar subsidy by Buffalo NY for it) 030 0
