LA's parks department said the city needs 71 new dog parks by 2050. It has opened one in the last seven years.
Recreation and Parks counts 14 off-leash dog parks and recommends 85 by 2050. Its most recent one opened in South LA in November 2022, and the next isn't due until 2027.

Every year LA waits, the same mile of transit gets about 4% more expensive. In real dollars, after inflation. LA built surface light rail for $100M a mile from 1990 to 2003. The same thing now costs $210M a mile.
