The fact we have an executive class that doesn't know what to do with the Looney Tunes or The Muppets really sums up what a joyless, barren world they inhabit.

Weird little bunch of flicks this time. Wouldn’t want it any other way. Also I’ve reached 2/3 of my 100 books goal for this year! And I’ll be playing my first live gig on drums since Covid in August. Things are going SWIMMINGLY #filmsky #moviesky #lastfourfriday #letterboxdfriday

recommended by @roddybottum It is about the chains placed on a person or groups of people by class and circumstances. not the usual narrative structure. Dont come here for black and white ideas of morality. Real life is usually dark underneath and complicated. #booksky #newfiction #chriskraus

Our cat Mowgli passed away on Sunday. I knew him for a year, my partner raised him from kitten to 16 years young. We are heartbroken. 😭 #cats #catsofbluesky #rainbowbridge

Steadily better films since last weekend. Bank robbery flick with Newman is only worth checking out if you’re from St Louis (and most people aren’t). Stand and Deliver was a pleasant surprise, thanks to my lovely partner for the suggested watch. #filmsky #moviesky #lastfourfriday #letterboxdfriday

📌Barack Obama was targeted 11 times in assassination attempts during this two terms. I bet you don't remember any of them because they were handled through proper channels, professionally, and he isn't a whiny bitch.

Laid up at home with back pain, but more time for movies (and some tv). I’m watching The Wire, X Files and 6 Feet Under. #filmsky #moviesky #lastfourfriday #letterboxdfriday

A decidedly less than stellar grouping this week. But I’m pushing through and now watching the classic series SHOGUN from 1980. I know it’s a mini series (TELEVISION EVENT!) and may not qualify for recent film watches, but it’s VERY good. #filmsky #moviesky #lastfourfriday #letterboxdfriday

Mel Gibson pictured with his doctor in 2004

It's the classic Mel Gibson and Jesus meme where Mel is on set in normal clothes casually chatting to a very bloody Jesus (for those of you who don't know it).

THE RUNESTONE (1991) Kinda boring in parts, but it’s got Peter Riegart, William Hickey, Lawrence Tierney and one of the thugs from Die Hard in it, so it’s worth sticking it out, I think. #filmsky #moviesky #movies #vhs #therunestone #creaturefeature #genrefilm
