I'm reading my first Western novel. I decided to start with Lonesome Dove because that seems like the right one. Pacing is slow. Meandering, like an old storyteller whose mind is going, but you like his voice.
I'm not gripped yet, but I'm keeping the paperback within reach. I'm at least interested.
