It’s super likely I’ll need a skin graft inside my nose between my nostrils. Possibly some mesh or other medical material. Right now my nose looks normal on the outside but I must be SUPER careful & diligent. Hoping healing isn’t too brutal either because I have a huge year planned!

Had a doctor’s appointment this morning to get a referral for an ENT. Please send good energy that the referral goes through FAST & everything is approved by insurance. I have to have nasal surgery ASAP. 😫 Trying to prevent “saddle nose” or need for rhinoplasty due to a severely perforated septum.

The hardest part of taking care of a stray cat colony is when one passes away 😭 We found one today. I have reasons to believe she killed a rat in the neighborhood that had probably been poisoned & thus got poisoned herself. Poor girl. I hope she didn’t suffer much. She looked peaceful. 💔

Purgatory may sound dramatic & it should. Because that’s how it feels. & one of the worst parts is that I do love her. But this is the straw that breaks the camels back. I can’t handle being screamed at & given silent treatment because I super politely tried to ask for a VERY normal & sane boundary.

I have a therapy session scheduled later this month but what I really need is to find the right house or apt to move into IMMEDIATELY. & then be approved. & then live happily ever after. (I know that’s not how life works but living with someone who acts like they hate you feels like purgatory!)

Most who know me, know I’m a domestic violence survivor. So this behavior is really triggering my CPTSD big time & while I’m physically safe for now, I don’t feel safe & I am emotionally unwell. My anxiety is through the roof. I’ve developed horrid new habits (no substances or anything like that)

It is SO good!! Also a surprising amount of horror-inspired moments for an animated family movie but nothing too intense. It’s such a cute & heartfelt movie. I do not want to admit how often I watch it 😅 My brother-in-law only saw the first 5-10 minutes & cried & said he needed to watch it alone 😂

Operation PARRIS is one of the most heinous things this administration has done yet. Trump’s people ordered ICE to round up 5,600 legally present refugees, people who have done NOTHING wrong, with no warning, and jailed them in Texas to be interrogated about their status.

The R&R finds that Ms. Lah's continued detention under the facts of her case is not supported by the relevant statutes and regulations and the Court agrees. Ms. Lah is a legal refugee who took the proper steps on the first available date to apply for a status adjustment. It is through no fault of hers that there has been no movement on her application. There is simply no legal reason for keeping this mother 1800 miles away from her children.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional! ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

The Gravamen of the Disclosure

4. The gravamen of the disclosure is as follows:
a. By memorandum dated May 12, 2025 (“the May 12 Memo”), Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons authorizes ICE agents to forcibly enter into certain people’s homes without a judicial warrant, consent, or an emergency.

b. Specifically, in the May 12 Memo, the Acting ICE Director authorized ICE Agents to rely on Form I-205 (which is not a judicial warrant) to enter the residence of an alien subject to a final order of deportation, without consent, including by “a necessary and reasonable amount of force.”2c. While addressed to “All ICE Personnel,” in practice the May 12 Memo has not been formally distributed to all personnel. Instead, the May 12 Memo has been provided to select DHS officials who are then directed to verbally brief the new policy for action. Those supervisors then show the Memo to some employees, like our clients, and direct them to read the Memo and return it to the supervisor.

So I know the Pixar movie ‘Elio’ bombed hard at the box office but it was literally my favorite movie of 2025. It’s incredible. You should watch it if you have Disney + Rent it if you don’t. Even if you have zero children! Adults can absolutely still appreciate the movie (& the soundtrack.)

While I’m no stranger to hunting down VHS tapes as well (& recording from the tv with them lol) Amoeba is a record store! The original location was in Hollywood for a million years, but the upstairs always had a huge selection of trade-in movies. It was perfect for finding “that one thing” 😅
