I love okra so much! Fried (in the South), pickled in a Bloody Mary, pickled on a charcuterie board! I’ve never grown it, myself. Never seen the blooms before Bluesky showed me! I’d love to try to grow it next year!

This might sound insanely needy—but, what kinds of pots do you use for indoors? My big fern was left in its original container and a black garbage bag. Not an attractive look—but it worked! Also, I feel like I need to hit Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore for more plant stands. 🤷‍♀️

You can get screens to cover your potted bulbs. They’ve worked well for me this year. Otherwise, I’ve surrendered to the thug squirrels. I will only be planting daffodil bulbs this year. The thugs ate tulips, 2 bare root roses, and otherwise dug up or trampled everything else.

🌱. What do you all do with Boston Ferns at the end of season when they’re really creating the “haunted house” (dying) vibe? Last year, I was able to save one and we made it through the winter! At one point this summer, it flourished. I’ll bring IT back inside. The others look too far gone.

I like to believe we are usually good tourists—and our location in London was ideal. It was hot and we were lazy. The Cotswolds—another story! Maybe we simply needed the Cotswolds right now in our lives. We’ve made friends here whom I’m certain we’ll see again. I love that!

The truth is—our hotel was AMAZING! In every way. Incredibly accommodating my husband’s birthday. We took a 4-hr driving tour with a sharp, down to earth fellow, in a vintage mini cooper! And saw so much! He was a wonderful guide! All to say, I’m unfair to judge London based on our 1 day out.

Mmm…..it was very crowded and heated and perhaps, too busy for what we were hoping. We have been in the Cotswolds since Wednesday and have had a lovely time. I have so many pics!
