This is a color coded chart titled "the terpene spectrum". It includes the name, reported benefits, and boiling points for 25 different terpenes and terpenoids commonly found in cannabis and hemp flower. The colors range from red and orange at the top to blue and purple at the bottom. Red and orange represent more uplifting terpenes while blue and purple represent more calming terpenes. Will you look at that? Only 2 naturally occurring cannabinoids have euphoric effects. That means there are 17 cannabinoids with unique effects that don't get you high. We owe it to patients to study these more than we do. Patients don't want to get high, they just want to get better 🤙 #Cannabis
A colorful graphical depiction of the natural cannabinoid biosynthetic pathway, or as we call it, the family tree. It shows that the acidic cannabinoids such as thca and cbda are converted to their neutral forms with the addition of heat light oxygen and time. After even more exposure to heat light oxygen and time, these neutral cannabinoids will convert to their oxidized forms. There are 17 naturally occurring cannabinoids that are NOT euphoric or psychotropic. Only two: Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC, have euphoric effects. The flowchart also shows that many cannabinoids can be made synthetically by adding catalyst chemicals. Most of these semi-synthetic cannabinoids are euphoric or psychotropic.

A screen shot of a google AI overview:

What form of cannabis has the longest shelf life?

AI Overview

Edibles provide the longest-lasting cannabis experience, with effects that can last for several hours to over half a day, compared to the shorter durations of inhalation methods like smoking or vaping. This prolonged effect is because cannabinoids need to go through the digestive system before entering the bloodstream, which takes more time.

THC's little brother (from a different mother), THCV is reported to help with focus, appetite suppression, and blood sugar...without getting you high, which most patients prefer. Someday we'll find that these "secondary cannabinoids" really aren't so "secondary"🥇 📣 Cannabis is much more than THC!
(Against a solid black background) THCV, or Tetrahydrocannabivarin. Two 3-D molecules are shown: THCV and THC. The only molecular difference is that THC has a longer "nose" of consisting of a propyl (3-carbon) side chain instead of pentyl (5-carbon) like THC, making it non-psychoactive in lower doses - unlike THC.

Reported Key Benefits:
mental focus
appetite suppressant
antidiabetic (reduces blood sugar)
