The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Ok those that said it’s easy to transition to pf2e from dnd5e y’all need to stop lying. Dnd 5e is a 8 count box of crayons compared to the 256 colors of oil paint of pathfinder. I mean I like it but dang there’s an action for everything.media.tenor.comhomer simpson sits at a desk with a stack of books on itALT: homer simpson sits at a desk with a stack of books on it 170
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 18/11/2024I haven’t done let’s play streaming in a while but the temptation to do a playthrough of silent hill 2 is strong. I would definately spend way too much time talking about the narrative symbolism. 230
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 15/11/2024My spirit animal is a husky because I want to be carried like a king over hardwood floors and scream-cry at the slightest inconvenience. 160
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 15/11/2024I am always impressed by people who can take nice looking selfies. The moment my brain has to switch from ‘smile nicely’ to ‘press button with thumb’ is the moment the gremlin inside me shows itself. Any picture I’m in becomes a meme. 140
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 14/11/2024 All DMs starting a long form campaign should do individual session 0s with each member of their party. Do a mini 1 on 1 shot where you run them through their backstory to the starting point. The effects it has on rp going forward is amazing. Backstory becomes more than just words on paper. #ttrpg 3141
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 12/11/2024Ugh this is gonna feel like engagement bait but I’m legit curious. DMs of ttrpgs What do you feel are your strengths and what are your weaknesses? For me, good at: Improv, table control and running west march style campaigns Bad at: homebrew, table pauses, remembering NPC names #ttrpg #dnd #pf2e 341
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 12/11/2024Does this work? #promosky I like - birds - ttrpgs - being a dungeon master - pathfinder 2e - dnd - bg3 - owls - Hades franchise - fostering the confidence in other DMs - more owls Follow for content you can disassociate to 2170
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 10/11/2024Today is the first session 0 with @forgottenfkr.bsky.social for my new pathfinder campaign “Claws Over Grimmfaul” I know 50% of the rules, I’ve had nothing today but coffee and existential dread, let’s freaking go! #pathfinder #pathfinder2e #ttrpgmedia.tenor.coma man with red eyes is holding a blue sphereALT: a man with red eyes is holding a blue sphere 1141
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 09/11/2024DM tip of the day: New DMs you do not need to know every rule to start. It’s okay to look things up, it’s okay to make mistakes. Don’t let the fear of messing up prevent you from starting something fun. 030
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 08/11/2024DM Tip of the day: Work smarter not harder. Sometimes all an NPC needs is a name, general age, ancestry and key things they know. Don’t waste energy on complex backstories for NPCs your players don’t even talk to. #dndhottakes #ttrpg 020
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Group photo of the characters that ran in my special edition dnd one shot. I run this every year and it’s always a treat to see the kid characters people create. 🎃 #dnd 172
The Amazing Dyna @theamazingdyna.bsky.social · 07/11/2024I don’t know what’s to come but all I can do is what I can do. If you need a distraction from life I’m starting a pathfinder 2e campaign in January. It’s drop in drop out, low commitment. Comment or message me if you’d like to join. #ttrpg #pathfinder2e #pf2e 291
