I like the combination of const MY_VALUES = ['foo', 'bar' ] as const; type myValue = typeof MY_VALUES[number];

Yes indeed. An autocomplete / searchable select. For which we can now use the datalist. But then you have to manually add a lot of checks. And styling (like the select) does not yet work.

The Ult @the-ult.bsky.social · 26/08/2025
Yeah, and especially the extra 'legitimate interest' or something similar, you still have to deselect as well.

The Ult @the-ult.bsky.social · 26/08/2025
Probably being able to style an `input + [datalist]` (autocompleter) Since styling a select is now possible as well 👍 (and while we are at it: only accept a value from the datalist) (as option / toggle)

Some of you might be aware that #Angular is converging with #Wiz, an internal #Google web framework. Over the last few months, we've invested in "converging" Angular DevTools and adding support for Wiz apps and this led to some interesting revelations which have stuck on my mind.

Yes, thought so 👍 I figured, since Nx is embracing Vite, that OXC lint would be on your radar as well 😇

The Ult @the-ult.bsky.social · 04/07/2025
Is anyone using @voidzero.dev OXC lint with @nx.dev instead of ESLint? Seems like a lot of manual work (or creating a custom generator) until there is official plugin. But the enormous performance gain might help a lot in our very slow VMware development environment.. 🤔

One of the problems we encounter is that developers start using it/building GraphQL schema's with the REST(isch) mindset.. I still think GraphQL is a great solution, especially when dealing with a lot of Java micro-services/multiple backends

@juri.dev Could the new @nx.dev continues tasks be used for running the test-storybook in the CI/CD? Setting this up properly with static-build and serving it before running the test-storybook currently is a bit cumberstone/flaky with wait-on / http-server etc.

If you write code to make websites (HTML, CSS, JS, Web API, Media) and you get frustrated trying to wrangle your code to work in Safari, which bugs are blocking you? Which existing features would you most like to see improved? If you got a chance to order priorities which effort would you put first?

We are currently rewriting a whole lot of AngularJs/Angular applications. Using proper design (user first) instead of data first. Moving to mono-repo (Nx), embracing web standards (modern HTML, CSS, etc), embracing the new Angular improvements. And learning a lot of great new things. 👍

The Ult @the-ult.bsky.social · 11/04/2025
.. but creating a complete business application with just Javascript.. Is gonna be hard. That is the reason that there are so many frameworks. To help you with that :-)

The Ult @the-ult.bsky.social · 11/04/2025
My point was mainly. In Software Development. Doesn't matter which framework/language. After 10 years. It is definitely time for improvement/upgrade/rewrite ;-) I agree that a framework should follow the (Web) standards as much as possible (that was the reason for Angular 2)

Angularjs is over 12 years old. (and EOL for 4 years) You know that even Javascript has changed (improved) a lot in the past 10 years.. Right? After 10 years, it is quite normal to rewrite an application. Due to new user requirements, technologies, security, etc. Starting with proper UX.

How does this align with your awesome talk about embracing html and enhancing them with directives instead of wrapping them? Seems like a JSF kind of solution instead of embracing the web.

When adding files to the #copilot instructions. Could we add (user) documentation, like best-practices, how to write tests or services as well? Or are these kind of instructions/documentation to verbose? We use these docs in Storybook atm. But would be great to re-use for Copilot.
