I'm going to elaborate on this in as calm and reasonable way as possible, but sincerely: fuck off

the society of authors' feedback form about why you're not renewing your membership. In the write-in box, I have written: "I was shocked and deeply disappointed to see the magazine issue and now charter statement on genAI, which both seem totally full of waffle and apologist compromises.

This is a technology being used to put authors and illustrators out of jobs, using stolen work, and depleting the capacity for critical thought in people who use it. I get that you’re trying to make industry bodies agree to the charter as a ‘small step’ in the right direction. But I fundamentally disagree with the idea of some ‘ethical’ use becoming possible - look at the companies running these things, the severity of its environmental and community harms, the exploitative processes used to build and maintain the databases and server banks required.

As a full-time author who's marginalised and severely disabled, I do also find the idea that genAI companies are somehow making my job more accessible - not looking to undermine and destroy it - insulting and patently absurd.

I thought the SoA was supposed to advocate for authors' rights, and pleading with industry bodies to use this tech, but nicely, feels like a massive concession, and not one I'm able to be at all associated with."

Kate Draws 🌈✨️ @tacticiankate.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

HI AND HELLO #PortfolioDay I'm Kate, a freelance character artist who loves drawing ocs, fantasy, and pretty ladies!!! 🌈💖🎨 Hoping to be open for new work in the next week or two!! 🙇‍♀️

A portrait illustration of ida's oc Astra, a woman with blue skin, bright blue eyes, long wavy white hair, and a tall unicorn horn. She is dressed in black with gold lace and accents, including lots of star-shaped jewelry and danglies, and the underside of her hair is colored to look like a night sky. The background is a simple black to grey gradient with a gold border and the Monoceros constellation behind her head.

A nighttime color illustration of Narney's OC Lellio, a living doll. She has pale skin, big ol ears, ball-jointed fingers and hands, and long white hair bound loosely in gold clasps. She is dressed elegantly and standing with her hands clasped and eyes closed as though making a wish; the background is a circular graphic of the night sky filled with shooting stars, with one especially bright star centered over her head.

A color illustration of buntglas's OC Misam, a cosmic bunny lady. She has warm brown skin with light freckles and pale purple palms, a gold third eye tattoo, long flowing hair in a loose braid going from dark purple to lavender to gold and ending in a shooting star, and bunny ears. She is wearing a dark purple top and skirt, both with gold trim, and a transparent sari with intricate star-patterned trim; she has LOTS of gold accessories, all evocative of stars and moons. The background is a gold and purple art nouveau-style circular graphic with a central eye motif surrounded by celestial symbols.

A color illustration of a dragonkin/tiefling woman with deep blue skin, closed eyes, tall curved horns with a glowing crescent moon between them, and long wavy hair going from indigo at the top to pale gold at the ends. She is dressed in an indigo gown with lots of gold trim and accessories and sheer blue accent cloth. She is holding a large golden greatsword with blue roses and purple thorns around the guard. The background is an art nouveau-style circular graphic of gold celestial motifs on a black to maroon gradient.

Cult of the Lamb Inktober October 8 Prompt - Sacrifice Lamb is deadass about being polite #cotl #cultofthelamb

Hagar: Umm...There's too many horns. I d-don't think I can get it d-done in one...

Heket: Ugh! Why do we keep you around?! Leshy. Bite its head off.

Leshy: But I'm tired of mutton!

Lamb: I'm so sorry, this is humilating...You must have been looking forward to this, and my cursed horns are spoiling it...

Shamura: So polite in the face of death...what a nice change.

Lamb: I'm a Lamb meant for sacrifice, and I wasn't raised in a barn. Being polite is important!

Although he is cross with a species that DOES have eyelids, since I gave them compound eyes that means no eyelids for him :( The anatomy of compound eyes means they don’t need eyelids.

hey! some of you may remember that a while ago i said i was working on a comic based on my rain world OCs. While it’s still long from being finished, not telling anyone about has been slowly killing me, so you may have a sneak peak at the cover art. #RainWorld #ChurchOfThorn

A piece of comic cover art featuring approximately 4 rain world ancients.

At the bottom there is text that reads,“RAIN WORLD: Church of Thorn
A very very unofficial comic by @Newestski”

So this game called "Dverghold" came across my Steam homepage. Interesting retro vibes, apparently collabing with a dungeon synth artist for the OST. The art was kinda tickling my AI-dar though, so I scrolled down to look for any disclaimers.
