Art Dump Part 3: Comic: "brown out"

A 6-panel John comic featuring John and zweihander's character Hagate.
In this one, power seems to have gone out, and John takes Hagate to the rooftop to fix the issue, much to his confusion. As he questions the very idea, John hands him a wire and waits patiently before Hagate's metallic countenance attracts a high-powered bolt of lightning.
With power presumably returned, a charred Hagate (still holding the cable) smokes and sizzles until his senses come back, and he calls John out with a simple "Dude.".

WIP Robot Designs (C) Dubenglazy To Be Over

He has a slightly top-heavy physique, with wide, arched shoulders and a light hunchback. Dubenglazy's pill-shaped head bears a U-shaped smile and eyes with 0 and 1 in place of normal pupils, along with two tiny points on top, and something resembling headphones where his ears should be. He also has three digits per hand, with a distinct thumb and pointer finger, the rest being fused.

WIP Robot Designs (B) Pentateuch Of The Cosmogony Photos Of Ghosts The Gatekeepers What A Symphony

A note paper drawing of a space station, or colony-type object. It's referred to as the "Pentateuch Of The Cosmogony", after the Dave Greenslade/Patrick Woodroffe album.
Resembling a piece of land torn out of the ground, it's star-shaped, and appears to have a biodome-like habitat or designated zone in each point, with a central hill/structure in the center of them all.

His body is mostly covered with a pathy cloth, ragged at the bottom and tied off with a cable that has a hook tied to its end. In place of his face, a mask is attached directly to the cloth, and he wears a hat with an antenna portruding out of it. The only parts of his body that remain uncovered are three scaffolding-like limbs, two regular arms and one monocycle-style leg.

Art Dump Part 1: WIP Robot Designs (A) E2-E4 Nanogram Benny The Bouncer Soul Trees

My Focus - Live Under The Rainbow (2025) Even at this age, Jan clearly shows what made him one of the greatest Dutch guitarists ever. Plenty of classics, powerfully performed. I even got my copy signed! Pierre and Thijs ought to invite him to play with Focus again, I think.

Land Of Green And Gold (2022) I may be a long-time fan of Karfagen, but I missed out on this effort until now. It's so good! It blends the typical symphonic energies with a little jazzier ideas, resulting in a really refreshing listen. One of my favourites, now.

Household Objects (2025) I desperately needed some musique concrete in my library, and this does the trick and then some! It's a tribute at heart, but in general its a marvellous project. So many artists coming together, and letting loose a primal creative force, using only what they have nearby.

Live At Moore Theatre, Seattle WA, USA August 3rd 2003 (2025) Bonus disc to the Hatfield box. A simple one-song deal, and the track is quite nice. Even nicer is that this disc is even more collectible than the box! If there's 500 copies of that, then theres... ...less than 100 of this, I'd say.

The Disk Union-exclusive promotional bonus CD, featuring various identifiers, a barcode, and even credits on its face. It lies on a white surface, packaged in an inner sleeve and a plastic outer sleeve.

Live In Japan 2005 - The Rotters' Live (2025) The first ever Hatfield box set... ...immediately collectible as hell! You can tell that this is a care-filled effort, well-presented and put together. The sound is good, and the show recording is very enjoyable. Plenty to love about this set.

I'm glad you liked them! I don't know much about most of the internals since they don't really allow surface dwellers near them, but I do know that the left one in the third picture (Wiktor) uses a century-old one! It was the first electric hoist in the region, and still works flawlessly.

This beautiful, 100+ year-old lady is the hoist of the "Wiktor" headframe in the "Marcel" coal mine. She still works like a charm, even after all of this time.

These tall and handsome fellows are very iconic landmarks and pieces of industrial heritage 'round here where I be. Some of them stand as monuments, but a lot are proudly still employed. In other news, there's always something in the air here.

Better Call Saul (2015-2022) Just, wow. I did not expect the funny law man's past to be so densely human and tragic. It's a story full of rises and falls, with lots of pointy bits, like its predecessor had. Ultimately, the show's wit and integrity wins my preference, though.

Live At Pulchri - Presenting DNA Ilja Walraven (2019) I received this album as a gift from René de Haan, one of the musicians and a fine Dutch artist/designer. I've only listened to parts of the performance before, so I'm really happy to finally have the whole thing. It has an artful sound to it.

Finally painted something new!

A painting on a triangular canvas.
It depicts an angular figure made of white lines with a cube head, flat rectangle body, and roots/branches in place of limbs. The figure is located in a worn grey chamber which has an opening high on a wall, revealing a blue sky with white clouds and birds flying by. The root sprouting from where the figures left leg should be is rooted into the floor of the chamber, while a branch in place of its right arm has grown greatly, with many branching ends, one closest to the window seems to be have a couple yellow sprouts.
The growth in place of the figures other limbs is small and weak-looking.

True (2024) The closest anyone has come to the true "Yes" sound in a long time. Jon's vocals remain stunning, even as he turns 80, and The Band Geeks backing him up give their best as well. Simply put, "True" is a clean and high quality effort, full of emotion, but it lacks a little serenity.
