You might be surprised to learn this, but the phrase "mogging" actually originates with Mog for FF 6. He was easily the most charm character in the cast, thus to demonstrate your own charm came to be referred to as "mogging".

I had to resist the impulse to splash white given that I had decent support for it. Ultimately, I believe Gruul was still the right call. While these cards are good, they weren't worth diluting the deck's land base.

I was basically handed a Gruul ramp deck in my Sealed pool, with plenty of early game ramp, big spells/abilities to cash in that mana, and other ways to convert excess resources into cards. I said out loud "If I scrub out with this deck, it's my fault", and I meant it.

Has it been long enough since Final Fantasy dropped for me to say that I actually don't like Sephiroth's card that much in retrospect? I love playing Aristocrats, but I don't like how one card does almost everything you'd ever want from an Aristocrats commander. It's way too easy.

I think Squall has become my go-to Commander for pods where the power level is uncertain. Even when the game plan isn't quite coming online, the deck has enough tools to fend off other decks until I can establish solid footing. I like that style of grindy play.

As for food, breakfast was just at the hotel today. But for lunch, I had "Farmer's Pan", pork topped with an egg, and with it pan-fried potatoes and a vegetable medley. It was delightful. Even had a brief chat with a few locals.
