An administration that revels in death, at home and abroad.

It’s the attention to detail and professionalism that characterise this President of the Unites States.

I challenge @tomwatsonofficial.bsky.social to return Palantir’s blood money immediately and have some self respect.

You’ve got to go back to Der Stürmer — another German-owned newspaper, much loved indeed by Hitler — to find a newspaper as hostile to our country and our interests as the Daily Telegraph.

A curious indifference in some quarters to overseas investors buying our politicians.

🇬🇧 Is this really what it means to be patriotic? To be British? I continue to believe this is a fanatical hard right minority that repulses the overwhelming majority.

On Gaza, you’d think this articulate, intelligent individual from a widely respected organisation would be an interesting talking head for the BBC to platform from time to time, but, oddly enough, I never see her.

I suspect a lot of traditional economically literate Mail readers — certainly those who remember the paper as it once was — would vigorously agree with Burnham on Brexit.

Interesting from the Financial Times. I remain of the view Burnham’s a fundamentally decent guy and the internet’s rendered his job fundamentally impossible. I’d add, too, it’s interesting no one talks of the FT closing: maybe the one paper that’s managed to keep true to itself.

These so-called free speech champions turn out to be bullies and thugs. Who’d have thought it?

This recalls Trump’s mate Johnson hiding in a fridge as prime minister. These are cowardly, undignified, little men occupying great offices.

What the country — and certainly the business world — yearns to hear is ‘Labour seeking to rejoin EU.’

On Brexit, Trump and now climate change, @london.gov.uk is talking for a broad mass of Labour supporters and the country at large. Burnham of all people should not be going out of his way to antagonise turbulent mayors.

Quite right: Trump gets to decide who makes money out of the war Netanyahu told him to start with Iran.

Reform has for too long been allowed to evade scrutiny by using a supine media to propagate its views on its terms. Please no more ‘addresses to the nation’ from Farage filmed by Reform with no questions and no more texting of journalists on air to instruct them what to say.

Why do HMRC have to be pushed to take action after passively watching this story unfold for weeks? What is it about this man that he is considered by some in authority to be above the rules that govern everyone else?

My sense is we’re heading back to Tory/Labour politics. I recall the excitable talk about the SDP ‘breaking the mould’ in the eighties - 30 MPs at its height, more than three times as many as Reform has now, some real intellects and no scandal - and still it all came to nothing.

Imagine the fun Maxwell could have had in Johnson’s government as it managed to ‘waste’ £10 billion. He only managed to ‘waste’ a fraction of that. Legal implications for the company he left behind immense. None of his henchmen ended up unapologetically sitting in the Lords.

👎 Murdoch like Musk has decided it’s over for Farage. It’s not inconceivable he’ll end up behind bars which would of course preclude any further globetrotting.

I’m going to campaign for this fella. He’d brighten up the Commons. No scandal has ever stuck to him — non-stick metal, I assume — and it’s inconceivable he could be less present and available in Clacton than his opponent.

Farage either ignored on the front pages — the press was always going to major on the Harry verdict — or mocked, even by once traditional supporters.

Two domestic stories break the same time. One manufactured and involving an MP tanking in the polls cynically gaming the system. The other the result of a case involving Prince Harry, Elton John and countless celebs that’s been making headlines for months. What would you lead on?

Farage statement at 2pm which is when Harry/Mail result comes through so he’s either ill-informed or about to say something he hopes won’t get traction. Quitting politics (again)? Suing Sunday Times? Attacking the Establishment? Here he is with the Sunday Times owner, incidentally.

At what point does the disgrace of Farage become the disgrace of the entire Brexit project?
44018
thattimwalker.bsky.social @thattimwalker.bsky.social · 05/07/2026
It seems surprising up until now Farage has not been in receipt of what’s called an unexplained wealth order, which requires an individual or an organisation to explain how they obtained a property or other assets.

With the greatest possible respect, @primeministeruk.bsky.social — and that is to say, not a huge amount — it was not your ‘decision’ your political career was ‘over.’ I seem to recall you saying, right up until the very end, you’d contest any leadership election.
