CW: sad stuff Found out yesterday an incredible person I know passed away unexpectedly. We worked at church together. A light just went out in the world, that's for sure. Dude was the most giving, kind, friendly person. A true example of how to treat people. Tell people you love them, ya'll.

We're watching through all the Harry Potters again. I remember not liking Azkaban when I first saw it. I've grown to appreciate Alfonso Cuaron's visual style more and more over the years. There's still stuff I don't like, but it really is the most unique out of all of them.

"Netcasts you love ..." That wasn't remotely as big but I thought of how it was just insisted upon for _so long_.

Hermione didn't actually have to lie to protect Harry and Ron when the troll attacked in the bathroom. It's played like she's taking the fall, but all she really did was change the reason she was in the bathroom. Either way, the outcome is the same. Yeah, that thought really needed to go somewhere

I _love_ Joe Dante's work. Eerie, Indiana is one of my favorite shows ever. Not to mention The Burbs, Gremlins, etc. So awesome

Looks like Regal was paying attention to our show and picked the best movie from each Bond. You're welcome, Regal. If you didn't listen to Season 2 of the show, now might be a good time to check it out!

RIght?! I had a lot of problems with Mac. I don't really even know what his purpose was. HIs betrayal didnt' matter because we didn't know who he was. Then he turned back and that didn't make it any better. They tried with the OSS operatives story, but it just didn't help me get it.

One of the big problems with Indiana Jones KOTCS was that they introduced all these new sidekicks nobody cared about. Nobody wanted to see crazy John Hurt rambling nonsense and swinging a didgeridoo. Shia was not the issue. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

We have access to WAY too much information and a good deal of it is trash. You used to just believe a doctor. Or at worst you'd go find another doctor to talk to. Now you go double-check the doctor by trying to find a random article the backs up your bad logic.

When I was in my teens, I picked up Pure Disco volumes 1 and 2. I listened to those things on repeat. I think that tells you pretty much all you really need to know about me. Rollercoaster and Play That Funky Music are bangers.

He really is fantastic. He had his "bad boy" phase but I think he got humbled somewhere along the way and it only made him better at everything he does. I'll pretty much watch anything with him in it.

I'm born and raised in the South, and I have rarely if ever heard someone say "bless your heart" in the way other than genuine care. I'm pretty sure the "it's an insult" nonsense is completely overblown. Actual usage example, "Bless their heart, they're going through so much right now."

I can't remember how, but somehow I got signed up to Arnold Schwarzennegar's "Pump Club" email list. It's by far one of the best emails I get every week. At least on Monday. Monday, Arnold writes some positive, no-nonsense, good stuff and it really raises my spirits.

How did the Ninja Turtles grow up together and have totally different accents? Why is Raph the only one who sounds like he's from New York? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

Yeah. I guess that's a good point. This would have been a good one to see with an audience given the folding phone announcement. Kind of hard to surprise an audience these days though. We're so used to Apple kind of just iterating on the same thing over and over. I get it.

110

Stephen @thatstephenadams.com · 09/09/2026

I kind of miss when Apple had announcements in an actual room with actual attendees. There's just something boring about treating a pre-recorded video as a live event. I'm not as gadget-conscious as I used to be and I don't get that excited, but I still like to see what's happening.
