A new book, OTHER WORLDS THAN THESE (T3), is published today. It's the final book of the Talisman trilogy, co-written with my old buddy, Peter Straub. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Moebius, 1986

Three light blue people emerge from a giant parked flying saucer to inspect a small pyramid in a lush field that has a star hovering over it.

roy wood - boulders, solo album from the guy who made ELO sound that way. this record is incredible, every single part is done by Roy. the guy is a beast. there’s a song where the percussion is him slapping water. it’s so good

oh snap that is him! his voice works with that style too, but i think it lends itself much more to the dance stuff

empire of the sun - walking on a dream, i was in from the first single for this band. still their best imo. great songwriting, catchy melodies. really fun dance record

adam green - jacket full of danger, it’s that guy from moldy peaches! i really like his voice, and songwriting. this one is kind of in the middle of his sound, the one with horns is good too, a few scattered singles are good, but this is the most solid to me. i like drugs!

More Bakshi autumn work

postal service - give up, more like tears for years! one of the first indie/alt/emo synth projects. lots of them popped up, this and headphones were the best and the saddest! nothing better is one of the most heart wrenching songs you’ll ever hear

1320

all timer intro, those sweeps are fuckin sweet as hell

coheed and cambria - good apollo, i really loved the first three albums coheed put out, this one especially. i feel like they perfected their sound on this one, and it shows. takes talent to make an 8 minute song catchy and they do it multiple times. it rips

pedro the lion - control, in my top 5 albums of all time. the magnum opus of one of the best lyricists ever to do it. it gets heavy musically, even heavier lyrically. still the only band to use “cum” in the lyrics and still be sold in christian bookstores. doesn’t get better than this one

1202

so true, i love all the transitions! it’s really fun to listen to in one go

radiohead - hail to the thief, radiohead has a lot of good music but im partial to this one for some reason. i feel like its more sing along-y than any of their other stuff. my favorite of all their albums

From the 5-min pilot of "Redline", directed by Takeshi Koike 7 years before the film's release (and not reused in the film). It's still just as rare to see such long proof-of-concepts produced for Japanese animated films projects. Full video >> www.catsuka.com/player/redli...

mew - and the glass handed kites, can’t tell you how much i love this band. after frengers i didn’t think they could top it but they did. beautiful and heavy too, it’s a perfect concept album. the japanese version of white lips kissed will make you cry

i almost forgot about danse macabre i’m gonna have to revisit it because i know it’s really good. i just really love all the production touches this one has , the string parts just hit so good

that was the first song i heard by them as well, god it’s so good ✨

flaming lips - yoshimi battles the pink robots, another one that needs no introduction. i listened to it while on mushrooms, with them kicking in at the interpolation part of fight test. it was magic. this one is very special
