adam green - jacket full of danger, it’s that guy from moldy peaches! i really like his voice, and songwriting. this one is kind of in the middle of his sound, the one with horns is good too, a few scattered singles are good, but this is the most solid to me. i like drugs!

postal service - give up, more like tears for years! one of the first indie/alt/emo synth projects. lots of them popped up, this and headphones were the best and the saddest! nothing better is one of the most heart wrenching songs you’ll ever hear

1320

coheed and cambria - good apollo, i really loved the first three albums coheed put out, this one especially. i feel like they perfected their sound on this one, and it shows. takes talent to make an 8 minute song catchy and they do it multiple times. it rips

pedro the lion - control, in my top 5 albums of all time. the magnum opus of one of the best lyricists ever to do it. it gets heavy musically, even heavier lyrically. still the only band to use “cum” in the lyrics and still be sold in christian bookstores. doesn’t get better than this one

radiohead - hail to the thief, radiohead has a lot of good music but im partial to this one for some reason. i feel like its more sing along-y than any of their other stuff. my favorite of all their albums

mew - and the glass handed kites, can’t tell you how much i love this band. after frengers i didn’t think they could top it but they did. beautiful and heavy too, it’s a perfect concept album. the japanese version of white lips kissed will make you cry

2261

flaming lips - yoshimi battles the pink robots, another one that needs no introduction. i listened to it while on mushrooms, with them kicking in at the interpolation part of fight test. it was magic. this one is very special

2762

the unicorns - who will cut out hair when we’re gone?, i’ve loved everything the guys from this band have done, this is where it started. wierd and silly but also deep at times. also, the lyric “i want to die today and make love with you in my grave” is the gothest lyric ever. perfect album

the unicorns - who will cut our hair when we’re gone?

interpol - turn on the bright lights, interpols first and imo still their best. moody dark and sexy, one of my favorite albums ever. very important album to me for many reasons, there’s nothing like it

2410

carpenter brut - trilogy, probably one of the top 3 synthwave albums ever made, even if it is 3 EPs smashed together. it’s unholy, it rips, if you haven’t heard turbo killer you’ll die sad so get on it

electric light orchestra - balance of power, a legendary band does the 80’s thing. less members, less instruments but it still huge. the songs are insanely catchy as usual and i’m partial to the synth heavy arrangements. probably my fave album of theirs, def one of the most unique of thier catalog

3302

sebastien tellier - sexuality, one of my favorite slightly more recent discoveries. all his music is great but this is the one that caught me. produced by guy from daft punk! it’s very sexy

2291

devendra barnhart - smokey rolls down thunder canyon, i loved banharts lo fi stuff a lot but this album is professionally produced with a full band and shines for it. a great taste of his style past and future. it’s a treat

3150

the faint - wet from birth, blank wave arcade was great and this took it up another notch. every song hits and the added production really makes this record amazing. nebraska produced a lot of great music
