September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and I’m asking our community to help spread the word: the earlier prostate cancer is found, the better your chances are of beating it. Visit cancer.org/getscreened to learn more from the americancancersoc.bsky.social and find a screening location.

Maybe because it was my first exposure to them, but I prefer "chocolate and cheese" to "pure guava". This does not mean that I won't listen to guava, still some great stuff there.

Most of thr artists they play on main stream country stations around here sometimes sing about work, but mostly about getting drunk, hitting on women until they give in and off stage talk about corporate rights as well as push anti-workers rights candidates. Ill stick to alt country if at all

Every week we learn new terms in our house as our youngest continues their journey of self. I love all of it, yeah the labels get more specific and harder to track but their sense of belonging for having the terms to fit into is amazing.

Its a bit like the guy who went after Rittenhouse with the skateboard. We know he is a problem, but in this action he is doing the right thing and shouldnt be vilified for this action, but it isnt an ok to go back to shitty behavior.

My son has his first Football game tonight. His school joined up with other schools in the area to form a functional team. He is on both the Offensive and Defensive lines.

It bonds to sheets or blocks of EVA really well too so building volume doesnt take all of the more expensive clay to achieve. If you are painting it you will need to heat seal it and prime with a mod podge like sealant or plastidip spray.

Taking my kids into the near wilderness along the Canadian border tomorrow. They aren't terribly excited about it but it may be the last trip like this with my parents, and it may be the last trip we are able to take into this area before this admin lets it be logged and mined tointo a wasteland.

You can tell i dont use this pipe much as it really hasnt begin you season yet, but sometimes a bit of nicotine is just what I need to relax in stressful times and I find pipe smoking less conducive to habitual use.

Finally got my first panel glued up today for the duct soffits in my dining room. The strips are spruce I milled and cut. Only 13 more panels to go. Although three will be corner panels, smaller and more intricate in layout.

Thin wood strips clamped together over pipe clamps and electrical strut calls. The wood strips have glue applied to the top edge.

Wood stips that have been glued along the thin edges clamped together to form a solid panel. The strips also have cauls places to prevent warping while clamped

Had a new experience today. My cat allergies were triggered by passing too close to the trash room of an apartment building i was working in. The litter smell was terribly strong and passing through that space made my face break out with an irritating itch.

Last winter my wife got these blocks of ice from a crew building an ice castle. She wanted to see and photograph the ice as it aged. I thought it would be neat to see how it looked with a fire behind it. The changing colors and light angles were fun to see.

Two blocks of lake ice behind a tray of burning fuel. A jacketed person on the right has lit the fire and is moving away. It is after sunset and everything in the background is dark and not visible.

Alaska Republicans passed an form of UBI in the 79s and they cant let it go for fear of failing as a State. For such a wonderful place it is unfortunately too remote to supply like the lower 48. Hawaii also has some magic but thats more likely tourism dollars.
