Woke up this morning to the difficult news about Andy Williams. One the biggest legends in the HX/metalcore scene. I got into ETID about 10 years ago and fell in love with this dudes riffs. This guy inspired me to make my own music and give learning guitar a solid chance.

Our stance on AI-generated music

Hi,

AI music generation tools are changing how music is created and distributed. As this technology evolves, Tidal is introducing platform standards to protect artists, their craft, and inform listeners.

Here are the highlights of our new AI Policy:

Tidal will identify and tag AI-generated music in our app. Listeners will see an "AI" badge next to music we detect as wholly AI-generated.

Tidal will not tolerate AI-generated music that impersonates an artist or group, or that facilitates fraudulent activity. We're implementing automatic tools to remove these releases immediately and on an ongoing basis.

Tidal will not allow music that is 100% AI-generated to be monetized. No royalties will go to such releases, nor will AI-generated uploads be eligible for direct-to-fan sales.

We will expand these policies to music that is substantially AI-generated when AI detection technology is sufficiently reliable to do so.

You'll start seeing these changes from July 15.

#5: Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon! This was very fun up until needing to retry and beat the boss fights and sparx levels without getting hit once during the boss. Ridiculous difficulty for a game like this LOL.. Might have gotten a little angy Nevertheless, Spyro OG Trilogy = COMPLETE!

Achievement set for Spyro 3. There are 67 achievements worth 574 retro achievement points, with 100% of them acquired. This set was mastered in 12 hours and 18 minutes over the course of 5 days and 22 hours. Last played today

Like this stupid ugly radio tower I'd see every day going to school, this kind of detail is crazy to me. I can't wait to explore it all. Its obviously not going to be 1:1 but they were insanely accurate with LA in V. So that'll hopefully be good enough for me to catch many references :D

With MKDS completed, I've decided that the next game we hunt on stream will be SMW: Super Mario Advance 2 for GBA. We started hunting this on stream a while back but decided to 100% MKDS at some point, so that took priority. But we're back! After this, I'm planning to hunt Wave Race 64! :D

#4: Mario Kart DS! WE DID IT! What a blast grinding this game. Absolute favorite Mario Kart for me, and the set for this was pretty straightforward. The last few were hard grinds (the balloon mode one was a nightmare lol) but I did enjoy the challenge. Got it all done live on stream too!

Achievement set for Mario Kart DS. There are 100 achievements worth 900 retro achievement points, with 100% of them acquired. This set was mastered in 21 hours and 26 minutes over the course of 3 months and 23 days. Last played today!

#3: Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage :D It made sense I'd chase the achievements for the second game after beating the first one. Especially got in the mood for it after the recent Spyro game announcement. Got it knocked out in a few days! Pretty easy set, and even easier once the super fire ability unlocks.

Achievement list for Spyro two riptos rage on the play station. There are 54 achievements and a total of 493 points acquired with 100% completion. Derek mastered it in 7 hours and 55 minutes, which was spread out over the course of 4 days and 1 hour. Last played today.

There is a singular building (that I know of) in the Miami level of Driver 1 that has one small face of the building missing a collision mesh. Driving through it causes some funky visual trailing effects.. I accidentally found this when I was a kid and thought it was the coolest thing :)

#2: Spyro the Dragon (PS1)! Of course! Couple tricky achievements thrown in there, like speedrun-ish stuff. Pretty fun to test myself. The hardest one was probably the time-based speedway levels. Trying to find the right time-efficient path was too much and I ended up needing to look it up. 😅

Got through some Mario Kart DS achievements on stream tonight and made some good progress. Just have Time Trials and Battle Mode achievements left and we've got the Mastery achievement for the game!

StreamTracker progress list of the achievements unlocked in today's stream. Derek progressed from 69% to 77% complete in 2 hours and 50 mins, unlocking 8 achievements. In the image is also a short list of the achievements unlocked, with small descriptions for each. All of them pertain to playing certain Cups with very specific karts and drivers.

Archipelago April is over! 12 of 12 games completed. With many days to spare! Thank you to those of you who showed up and kept me company throughout the entirety of this silly stream project I put together. 🥰 It was a lot of fun to play through some of my favorite games with y'all.

Day 5 of ArchApril complete - making steady progress :D Fun little stats sheet for those curious. Last night we BLASTED through a lot of Lil Gator Game but are now stuck without some main quest items. Also stuck currently in Niko, SMW, Tetris Attack, Trackmania (need to check), and Undertale.

A stats sheet of all of the games that Derek is playing to beat by the end of April. The games list consists of 12 games, including Donkey Kong Country, Here Comes Niko, Little Gator Game, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario World, Spyro One, two and three, Super Mario 64, Tetris Attack, Track mania, and under tale. Total progress equates to 28.59 percent. The highest is Little Gator Game at 86.76 percent complete. The least completed game is Super Mario World at 7 percent completed.

My rhythm game self got overly excited and (I believe, anyway) completed his collection of the GH library. Just nabbed this at a local game store. First time I've been there, it's really nice!

Rollin' Rascal: VERY 3D Sonic inspired. Love the art style, the characters are pretty cute. I struggled with the controls but I think I'm just really bad at this genre of game! I think if you're a fan of these types of quick-paced platformers, you'll probably love this! I'll probably play again!

Let's Build a Dungeon: I spent a lot of time on this tonight and I'm very impressed with how in-depth this is. Seems like this is a really cool combination of RPG Maker + Game Dev Tycoon. The focus on both aspects of game design is fun, funny, and really detailed (even if a little exaggerated lol)

Deadline Delivery: I enjoyed the ragdoll/slapstick humor and most of the controls for this game! Even the premise of the story is pretty funny, albeit simple. I think the drifting can be hard to lock down physics wise but I think it's a matter of just needing to lock in and get gud. I'll still buy!

Scott Pilgrim EX: I mean, I played through/beat the first game in it's entirety and I love the SP franchise about to death so this is a no-brainer for me. Love the fighting mechanics in this + the open world, NPC designs, art style, & music!! Can't wait for release!
