A lot of the responses to Lanterns have only confirmed what I already learned from Star Wars: many nerds are genuinely incapable of engaging with these characters and stories beyond just action figures and toys being smashed together. Also, nerd shit being this mainstream was a mistake lol

Lanterns was pretty good! I've never been much of a GL fan, but I really enjoyed the show as a character drama and sci-fi mystery.

Resident Evil was a very interesting experience for me. I ultimately walked away fairly negative on it despite being pretty consistently impressed by Cregger's filmmaking. The guy knows how to make something compelling to watch, the meta commentary and style of humor just didn't hit for me at all.

Stupidly excited for this. Tickets purchased, plans made. YOI is so near and dear to me and my wife. Really hoping we'll finally get more of this series one day.

Persona 6 achievements seem to confirm what we already knew: it's a Persona game, but spooky

Betty from Riverdale playing Not Rey has marginally increased my desire to throw this on in the background

On the one hand, it was nice to get a proper animated adaption of Tim Drake, on the other hand, this was not very good.

Really speaks volumes about the state of Star Wars that an extremely talented director and actor pitched a script they loved that focused on the ST character that most people like and Disney said no So glad Filoni's god awful Ahsoka show is getting a second season tho

You know, I did kinda wonder how a movie based on a comic as stunningly gorgeous as Woman of Tomorrow could look so dull and uninspired

010

Matt @thatmattkid.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Genuinely do not have a single positive thing to say about this lol No shade to the artist, but that key art looks like a banner at a party store and the pitch sounds about as exciting.

I'm not saying you have to be excited for this movie, but if you hate it just because it's not a direct, one-to-one adaptation of one of the RE games, maybe shut the fuck up? I wish more franchises would be willing to let talented creatives just make something that gets them excited.

I guess it's just too much to ask for a Spider-Man movie with Spider-Man characters in it Gotta make room for Hulk and The Hand for some reason

Literally how With what staff? Xbox just cut thousands of jobs and ES 6 has been in "development" for almost a decade. Announcing Fallout 5 means literally nothing at this point. Just the vague idea that they've been told to start making it

I have unrealistic levels of hype for this game and I can't fucking wait

Guy who altered actor performances in the editing bay, who clearly doesn't care about preserving the work of collaborators, and who largely made the prequels to pioneer new VFX tech is also into AI? Shocking

Yeah my wife definitely disliked Supergirl, Black Widow, and WW 84 because she hates women. This kind of rhetoric frustrates me so much. Nothing should get a free pass from criticism and nobody should be called a bigot for not liking something.

I rewatched this whole show recently and it's honestly a shame it was cancelled Had some issues, but it's leagues better than the absolute sludge of Mando S3, BoBF, Ahsoka, etc. There was some passion behind this project and an actual point of view.

Kinda wild how Paramount seems to love slamming its dick in the car door when it comes to Avatar. It's a franchice that literally sells and markets itself, but they just keep fucking it up over and over at every opportunity.

Sharma's bold strategy to generate excitement about the Xbox brand and its exclusives appears to be to *checks notes* shut down two of the most creative and beloved studios they own.
