The Phillies are BUMS. The only way they are going to the playoffs is if they buy a ticket.👎🏼

I tried www.sivanskitchen.com/recipes/hone.... Meh. Same as most. Tastes like a snack cake with fall spices that is on the edge of turning dry. Not worth the time and ingredients.

#7706 was built in 1969 for the Penn Central Railroad. Following the bankruptcy of Penn Central, it was absorbed into Conrail in 1976. In the mid 1990s it was purchased by PECO Energy. In 2012 the unit was donated to the West Chester Railroad. #photography #railroad #westchesterrailrod

The manual transmission isn't nostalgia. It's the last mechanical veto in a car full of nannies. The 3rd pedal is for those who refuse to let driving become appliance operation. #Ford #FordFocus #manualtransmission

Two vehicles in a driveway. Left is a silver 2007 Ford Focus. Right is a bright blue 2009 Ford Focus.

Mainstream media isn’t talking about it, but bulldozers and construction crews have descended upon Texas’ Big Bend National Park as the Trump administration moves forward with its border barrier project. The project will permanently damage one of our nation’s greatest natural treasures.

Union Pacific's Big Boy 4014. The largest steam locomotive in the world. Built in the 1940's, abandoned in the 1950's, and brought back to life by UP engineers. Currently on a cross country tour. Saw it on display in Philly & running live on the rails. #BigBoy4014 #UnionPacific #trains #photography

When Markwayne Mullin is locking up your neighbors as head of DHS, you can blame John Fetterman - and the political operative who sold him to the public, Joe Calvello. 2 years later, Calvello quit when Fetterman veered right. Now he's pushing an even more untested guy for Senate - Graham Platner. 1/

Enjoying knitting this sock pattern. It's called Baltic Flowers and it's free. Good charts and directions. Easy to mix and match the various charts. #knitting 🧶🧦

New sweater. Christmas Belle by Isabell Kramer. Yarn is Fjallalopi in Currant and Summer Yellow. The pattern is an A+. The yarn? Not so much. The roughness did not make for an enjoyable knitting experience. Would not use it again. But it's done and I will wear the hell out of it. 😀 #knitting 🧶

Knitting with this Istex Lopi yarn is ..... not a good experience. The colors are lovely and that's all I can say that is positive. It's like knitting with twine that sheds everywhere. The guard hairs make it stick on the needles akin to mohair. AND I'm using it for a fingering weight sweater. 🙃

Fox sports announcer Joe Davis is basically an Ohtani fanboy masquerading as a play by play guy. It's so over the top annoying I shut off the audio. FFS just call the game. I swear he'd fellate Ohtani on live TV given the chance.

Here is something to think about. The US National weather service is tracking a major nor'easter that will bring heavy rains winds and coastal flooding with beach erosion to the east coast. The US Government is currently shut down, meaning they are NOT being paid to track a major storm.

Photos from a Sunday evening garden walk. This time of year is difficult for me. The gardens are full. There's so much beauty, but the hours of daylight are growing shorter. It's almost 6:00 a.m. and it's still dark outside. Maximum appreciation and gratitude, but knowing it's the grand finale. 🌱

A photo, captured at sunset, standing on a patio in suburbia. There's a garden shed in the background. There are Velvet Queen Sunflowers, Black Eyed Susans, and Little Bluestem in the foreground. The sky is pastel colored in pinks and blues. The flowers are orange and golden.

A photo, captured at sunset, kneeling by a garden bed in suburbia. There's a garden shed in the background. There are Pepper plants, and pink and white Strawflowers in the foreground. The sky is pastel colored in pinks and blues. There is a birdbath in the photo reflecting the sunset.

The tomatoes in the vegetable garden have grown very tall. They have eclipsed the seven foot tall trellis. This photo captures two German Johnson tomato plants growing up a trellis. The tomatoes are in varied stages of ripeness.

This photo captures the beautiful annual flowers growing by vegetable beds in the backyard. There are orange and pink Zinnias, white Cosmos, and Velvet Queen Sunflowers. There are houses in the background.

Neighbors are having a party and the street is so jammed with vehicles it looks like a car dealer's lot. Every vehicle is an SUV and is either white or black with one exception -- a red compact in the mass of creepy sameness. 🚗 It's sorta disturbing and a real metaphor for .... Something.
