A non-spoiler review of Avatar: Fire and Ash. This movie is like an Avatar greatest hits album. You've definitely heard most of the songs before, but there's some cool bonus tracks and a couple of new singles. So it depends on whether you like the 'band'.

7) I am not, nor will I ever be, an advocate of unfettered free speech or expression. However I am damn sure against curtailing expression of (legal) adult content and themes, and groups like Collective Shout are causing more harm than good, even if they had good intentions (X to doubt).

2) Itch appear to have gone a lot more nuclear in their approach than Steam, with the latter seemingly being better targeted at content which is no longer allowed. 3) A lot of queer and adjacent works appear to have been caught in this crossfire even if it was SFW.

If we returned to 75% top rate of tax (the rate it was CUT DOWN TO in 1971), they'd still have 250,000 net left Are they suggesting that they can't live comfortably on that, while at the same time expect people on low incomes not to demand that they shoulder more of the burden?

Been seeing a lot of the usual pearl clutching from wealthy people trying to claim impoverishment at the idea of increasing the rates of taxation on them. To use the UK context, the top rate of tax is 45%. That means if you earn a million quid a year, you still have over half a million net left.

Yeah, the GRCs are worthless if they're not something which can actually be used. Sounds about normal. My wife is trans and we're both British citizens (though living in Australia), so naturally still very invested in what's going on over there. I wish it wasn't so bleak :(

I wasn't nitpicking, I think I've just misinterpreted your post. I've seen a lot of people not understanding the differences between how UK and US Supreme Court rulings work, so wanted to clarify that it's not a beyond-hope situation for the law to be changed. Apologies for the confusion!

I don't support the outcome of the ruling, but important to note that this is only based on the current interpretation of the 2010 Gender Equality Act, as currently written. It's neither permanent nor immutable, it would just need to be passed through parliament to change. That's the next battle.

With disclosure that @faorameridian.bsky.social is my friend, I can definitely recommend trying Void Dreaming. I'm not super into VNs but I am a big sci-fi fan. The characters are compelling and have their own voices, and there's a lot of replayability with how it's been structured. Do check it out!
