Google reviews once again giving us a giggle... thanks Colin. Obviously, a black lager, an amazing Warpigs pale ale, a Deya smoked s'mores imperial stout, a Tiramisu sour from the legendary Swedish brewery Elm Eleven or six amazing real ciders were just too 'standard' for him. 😂 Poor Colin.

Google review reads "Good choice of bottles but a bit boring on the draft as it's the same as everywhere else." with a photo of Dale's mind being blown.

Along the way, we’ve picked up National Cider Pub of the Year 2024, followed by National Runner Up 2025, mastered cask beer & recently brought Jaimitos in for some seriously good food. Not everything worked 1st time. Some of it felt completely unmanageable (hospitality ain't getting any easier!)

THAT BEER PLACE... @thatbeerplace.co.uk · 07/05/2026

We’ve hosted tap takeovers and tastings, packed out comedy nights and dancefloors, started Chester Craft Beer Expo at Storyhouse, taken the bar out to festivals, weddings and Chester Pride, and somewhere along the way TBP turned into something bigger, something we’re ridiculously proud of.
