I think we got caught out for being in transition between two identities - last season's going over the press and this season's playing through the press. We trusted our ability to play through but never had a plan/outlet to make them think twice about pressing us.

This is the first time this season we were pressed relentlessly and we just folded. Last season, we would've hoofed it and targeted the second balls. This season, we backed ourselves to play through but did not have any plan or outlet.

Nothing new but it really stands out how bad Arsenal are in transition. It’s not just a pace thing but a weight of pass, and decision making issue as well. There is rarely any conviction in how we approach transition moments and it’s been an issue for ages now.

I am disappointed by what Saka has shown so far. I can understand Tzolis struggling with the physicality and the crowd but Bukayo needs to do more to impose himself on the game.

It's hard to play football when the referee is hell bent on allowing the home team to make all the fouls. I mean, Sunderland were good at disturbing our attack but a lot has to do with the lenient referee.

I don't think many understand how good a performance that was. Generating over 4xG away at Napoli while taking 26 shots and conceding just 0.22xG is sensational. We really are one of the best teams in Europe and we play like we know it.

I thought Konsa was one of our weaker links today but mostly to do with communication and understanding. Like the one where Rogers got a shot off when him and Rice didn't communicate well. Should be sorted out with a few more training sessions, though.

The best compliment I can give Chelsea is that they made me feel a bit nervous when defending. I don't think many teams have done that in the past couple of seasons. All in all, looks like Alonso will definitely make them challengers.
