imo the 110k number is certainly an undercount, likely exacerbated by the same conditions that result in closed clinics (lack of awareness, access to diagnosis, and care). Studies regardless of country show a pretty consistently higher prevalence rate than stats that use diagnosis as their basis

My grandmother had MS and during her diagnosis journey (sometime in the 60s) a doctor said her symptoms were "medically impossible" because they primarily impacted one side of her body.
