Even in these lean years when I’ve given ASOIAF some major space, I’ve still read D&E at least annually. The whimsy, the characters, the storytelling… it’s a surprising safe space for me. Even so, the latest #AKOTSK gutted (brained?) me. This series is everything I’ve hoped it would be and more.
