Frame One and it’s the Donut Hills from Star Allies with the Grasslands, Rocks, Mountains and Trees from Return to Dreamland. Average Nintendo Viewer: “Oh it’s GOTTA be Mario.”

*Hi F.Rajang forgot to bring you up please don’t beat me to a pulp But yeah the trailer mainly focused on Shagaru when it came to the monster reveals, but my GOD Scorned making his appearance with one of the apexes of Shaggy’s Theme playing in the back was a special kind of intimidating LOL

Cod_Fish @th3codf1shmh.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Looking back at Sunbreak’s Pre-Release Material and man this trailer from “The Kingdom’s Savior!” (Shagaru/Scorned Magnamalo) still gets me every time. Not only did it generate excitement for the dlc to come, but it also showed our journey thus far from Kamura before we set course for the Kingdom.

Oddly enough though, think my favorite part about all this was how they handled Erik. I liked him in the Base Game along with the other Astrum members, but he really came into his own with this update. Just a lovable golden retriever boy who wants to share his fascinations with those around him.

The sheer dedication that the devs even went out of their way to include a whole underwater segment. Obviously the combat within is a much more “on-rails” sort of spectacle experience, but the fact they did this for Lagiacrus just really adds to how celebratory his return in Gen6 felt.

Cod_Fish @th3codf1shmh.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

Just about a year ago, Wilds saw the release of Title Update 2. Which gave us the grand return of Lagiacrus, the flagship of MH3. As well as Seregios, the flagship of MH4U. For me, the main highlight was absolutely what they did with Lagi. Hearing To One With Life AND the D.Island BGM again-

Something I sometimes think about is that the Kamura Hunter’s training with Master Utsushi was described to be “rigorous and grueling.” Like he straight up puts them on a whole Naruto/Demon Slayer Training Arc as they push their body to the absolute limits. Same goes for the Palicos and Palamutes.

Maybe it’s just cause I’ve ended up using it more over her main hairstyle but this may be what I end up going with for Ascendance’s Timeskip I love the idea of Coco just growing her hair out and going crazy w/ it

Something I find super cool about both the Gen6-Era Games thus far. The Hope and Ranger Sets from Wilds’ and Stories3 respectively do a fantastic job exuding a sense of professionalism, adventure and overall insane style. Which is extra cool given these two are the starting sets for each title.
