Not that im saying that some of these are my favorite games in their respective franchises, But I would say these are the most influential to me

Need For Speed Carbon, Splatoon, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Backyard Basketball 2004, NHL 2005, Madden 94, Tetris, Dynomite, and Roller Coaster Tycoon

Soo... i started to play Tetris again. Lemme be the first to admit, i think i need to take a break from Splatoon. Annoyances with people who are in my "skill level" is just wearing me down. if people want me to play, im down, but for now, i just need a game to relax to, Splatoon isnt it chief.

ive also come to a conclusion like that, but heres how i view that... <1% of every player is going to be "the best" (in sports the Messi's, McDavid's, James', Otani's, etc.), but outside of that its how you want to improve yourself that shows your mindset.

There are nights where im like, "ooh, cool game lets play" and then i go into the rabbit hole for like 6hours + then there are other night where my mind is in "I wanna play Splatoon 3 with friends", only for none of my friends to want to play Splatoon Tonight is one of those nights... uggh

Matt James (YEG, support your local LANS) @th3bomb93.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

have to say, Melo kinda nailed the shirts, If i made a TO shirt, mine would be a sploosh saying "look, i TO like i play Splatoon, i run in and stuff happens" (obviously with a picture of a sploosh) my other TO's would say, "my sploosh just dived in again, if i werent here they'd be dead"

So, as far as "trying to make content" goes Im debating on making a Video for my experience at VanCoral (as well as kinda going over some of my dumb mistakes). This video wont be very long and wont have any video of the event (like i said, sleep deprived).

Final report: Placed 3rd, tiredness got to me in the last match. Got a little bit of a nap at the airport before the flight home. @ubcesports.ca knows how to put on a fun event and I would definitely recommend if you're in the PNW.

Mid tournament status report Feeling ok after 2 sets, had to play a sploosh game to get my aggression down, but then played really good in the games after. Sometimes being goofy works as a mental reset sometimes

THIS... and if its just a vibe issue, have a "reliable" third-party like a TO willing to step in and help out too if you feel like a situation is going to be weird to just talk things out.

3 Sports things today 1. Tampa Loses with 9 Shots against. LOL. 2. Chase Elliott wins in Texas, Chevy on the comeback? 3. I think the F1 race was kinda chaotic, but better than Japan, still not the biggest fan of the current hybrid system. I have more thoughts on car upgrades, but maybe later.

Seeing a lot of discussion about how people of the female/trans Splatoon community have been treated lately and i just want to input my two cents from the other side of things 1. Have I fucked up? 100% absolutely, im not to shy to admit that...

Matt James (YEG, support your local LANS) @th3bomb93.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

I feel like disappearing after Bread Basket, not because of me but because of the stuff that we put our own community through. And me dealing with it makes me realize I'm starting to low-key like the Trackmania community more.
