This is the same excuse the media & US govt used to invade indigenous territory in Colorado in the 1880s. Nathan Meeker, Indian Bureau agent, claimed Ute Chiefs threw him to the ground & injured his shoulder. (This did not happen, Nathan injured his shoulder a year earlier when a wagon fell on him.)
