I feel like I'm being erased. Since I'm an artist and my stuff is EVERYWHERE (I own it, I know I spread, but when I create or am in an artistic phase I need my "supplies" around me - and as a needlework artist this is a LOT). But in holiday preparations, everything that is me is gone. It hurts.

FREE DESIGN - For all those in love this #PrideMonth . #LoveInRainbowColour is a design I created a few years ago and the complete chart is free via the Textured Treasures Free Stuff group on fb (or message me for the pdf).

4th Octagon done for the upcoming #TexturedTreasures #QuakerBall Quite happy with the simplicity of this one.

A #CountedThread Octagon with a burgundy border. Inside the space is a complex 16-pointed star motif created with thread and beads. In the centre of the star motif is a maroon flower bead.

The #Needlepoint #Embroidery is on scroll bars that you can't see, but the base of the image is pink felt protecting the already #Stitched area from being compressed as it is rolled onto the bars.

It is our first year attending the #SpringNeedlepointShow in #Kissimmee #Florida. It took 3 days driving, $$$$ investment and 4.5 hours into the show - not one sale. I am disheartened. Wholesale shows like this are always a gamble, looks like I lost on this one.

#Mindful #Makers #mARTch and for day 1 the prompt is #Woven As I try to remain present and not caught up in the mental chaos in my head, I'm reminded that creating and stitching #Celtic knots really helps. Adding a note to my books that I'm due for a new one. This is #CelticWeddingCross

Today's #FebruARTy post comes from the #FishyFeb feed and is #School So here is an exclusive design I did for teaching at the #StitchinInVermont Retreat this year. Apologies for the glare, it's one of the few models with glass. #CrossStitch #CountedThread #Embroidery

Other motifs include a string of lanterns done in beads adjacent to the top maple leaf, a fence made of gold and green bugle beads at the 1/3 point, and grassy bushes below the forest at the 2/3 point.

This was an exclusive design taught by Karen E. Dudzinski at the Stitchin' in Vermont event in 2024.

As I spent the early hours writing the story of how the "Forward Alphabet Sampler" came to be, here's my original #Needlepoint Aphabet Sampler. In each square the stitches start w the letter(s) for that square. #CountedThread #TexturedTreasures #CraftiVerse

The needlepoint design itself is made up of 3 x 11 boxes, each with one or two letters tent stitched in the box. Around the letters in a monochrome fashion are samples of stitches, filling the box, that begin with the same letter.

I've used 5 main colours for the box contents starting with blue for A, then orange, yellow, teal and purple for the next four letters, and then repeated for the rest of the design.

This design was the basis for the subsequent pieces, the #ForwardAphabetSampler (which I did on smaller count and removed the letters so I could add more stitch variety)
