I haven't been posting much because social media detracts more than adds to my life right now, but: I'm doing well, I'm working furiously on a few different things, I am optimistic about them. arrhythmia's on the backburner right now but I'm working on it at least a bit all the time

Coyote vs Acme: as good as everyone says! I only go out of my way to see a movie in theaters maybe once every two years, and the pilgrimage was not wasted this time

Page 485 is up! arrhythmiacomic.com/pages/page48... I can't yet commit to a return to regular scheduling, owing to BUSY, but this last page for this scene has been burning a hole in my pocket for months. Working on future pages, see you later!

new d&d character, light of my life

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

I've been using Blambot fonts for Arrhythmia since day 1! They were a great boon to someone whose idea of lettering was "put words on page"

041

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

Script complete!! Beginning new pages!!!!!

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

I have gotten pretty free about blocking people on sight because I saw them being kind of a dingdong and let me tell you it's not a bad way to live

020

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

I'm on the last scene of the chapter 4 script!!! kept telling myself I could make it shorter than chapter 3 and remained fully in denial about it up until the very end

120

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

I try to approach my internet presence with the intent of making it a positive experience for anyone who hoves into earshot but boy howdy sometimes you wanna grab a bottle by the neck and shatter it on the bar

040

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 24/04/2026

Chapter 4 progress report: plot skeleton fully nailed in! got about fifty pages left to write. shooting to be done early next month, then I'll draw up a little buffer before getting back to updates

050

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 12/04/2026

I somehow forgot that writing my comic rules

040

Luck @tetraluck.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

I've been putting this off, but I'm going to pause Arrhythmia updates for a bit while I finish hammering the rest of the chapter 4 script into order. I've been winging it a bit more than I'm comfortable with and don't want to continue doing that as we approach the chapter's second half

the "death of the author" thing has always wilded me out. I took one single class in college on 20th century literary theories and it's always been apparent to me that we're just doing New Criticism over and over again

every time someone cites the dunning-kruger effect and I remember that the popular take on dunning-kruger has been pretty effectively discredited, it is like an ouroboros of irony. it is irony with a side of irony. irony staring into the abyss and the abyss winking audibly

on the downside, merriam-webster has installed an AI chatbot on its site. on the upside, after removing the site from my bookmarks, I got to pull out my thesaurus from my bookcase and blow dust off it like a wizard seeking the ancient wisdoms

I was scared of making calls to representatives when I first started. That was 2017. They proved to be an excellent way to diminish that fear! People are polite when they pick up, 9 times out of 10 I get voicemail even during business hours, and to this day I still feel better about myself afterward

one time I was searching merriam-webster's thesaurus; it came up with a racial slur. I sent an email saying "I know this is a real word but thesaurus entries are low-context and you should remove it" and a day later an editor replied "you're right. delisted" anyway merriam-webster's all right by me

played wild arms 2 recently because it was free for download on psn. I love the game, it was a part of my childhood, and also I have seen few stories so hellbent on having their thematic cake and eating it too
