Nothing beats an autumnal funghi walk - a great year for the fungus. According to the Seek app, 7 new species today and some I’ve not seen in 4 years! #BayPolypore #BulbousHoney #sulpherTuft

Train delayed this morning due to “Slippery Rails” and all I could think was that would be a great name for a drag queen 👸

Fun bit of pond dipping today - tadpoles aplenty and even this wolf spider carrying her egg sack - when the eggs hatch the hatchlings are carried on her back - one of the few examples of arachnid maternal care 🕷️

Then I moved to #Bluesky and I thought I’d be able to replicate the good old days, but 9/10 of todays posts in my feed are about US politics. I just don’t feel like bluesky is popular enough with folks to give me what I used to have. Am I on my own here?

In the good old days of twitter I was able to keep my feed professional and testing related. I don’t post about politics or non-work stuff. Then my feed just became full of that sorta stuff. A 🧵

This ends well don’t worry - this morning a passer by helped me save this poor Robin that had been caught in plastic netting. 🥺 After a fair bit of snipping (with electric trimmers!) we got the last snags off and it flew happily to the nearest tree. #birds #wildlife

I’m wrapping up warm this weekend having cancelled plans due to snow. So got a few hours to kick the tyres and experiment with a new tool. Any recommendations for free AI in automated software testing related stuff worth checking out?

Happy new year - this sounds like a very productive way to get stuff done. I live by the tim minchin rule of “passionate dedication to short term goals” rather than a big whopper of a life goal. Much more fun and for me actually more productive! youtu.be/yoEezZD71sc?...
