Nothing beats an autumnal funghi walk - a great year for the fungus. According to the Seek app, 7 new species today and some I’ve not seen in 4 years! #BayPolypore #BulbousHoney #sulpherTuft

Train delayed this morning due to “Slippery Rails” and all I could think was that would be a great name for a drag queen 👸

Fun bit of pond dipping today - tadpoles aplenty and even this wolf spider carrying her egg sack - when the eggs hatch the hatchlings are carried on her back - one of the few examples of arachnid maternal care 🕷️

In the good old days of twitter I was able to keep my feed professional and testing related. I don’t post about politics or non-work stuff. Then my feed just became full of that sorta stuff. A 🧵

This ends well don’t worry - this morning a passer by helped me save this poor Robin that had been caught in plastic netting. 🥺 After a fair bit of snipping (with electric trimmers!) we got the last snags off and it flew happily to the nearest tree. #birds #wildlife

I’m wrapping up warm this weekend having cancelled plans due to snow. So got a few hours to kick the tyres and experiment with a new tool. Any recommendations for free AI in automated software testing related stuff worth checking out?

Done my annual “wheel of future” goal setting exercise. First time ever none of my goals are work/career focussed and I’m not mad about it. youtu.be/8KkKuTCFvzI?...

Note to self - make sure you look at all those “what we did in 2024” data points and collate the meaningful so-whats to put on your cv if you ever get round to updating it! E.g. we did x and it saved y days in 2024.

#AdventOfMushroomPics day 17 #FungiFriends - I took all these pics in years past. Is it just me/UK or has this been a terrible year for wild mushrooms?
