Councillors in Exeter have lodged a complaint with the City Council over 'intimidating and aggressive' behaviour by a Tory councillor. "Wearing her councillor lanyard suggested she was acting on behalf of the council. We believe her actions were a breach of the councillor’s code of conduct."

Labour really need to come clean about how much money goes to good causes from the Exeter lottery. It’s not the full 60p that the council are reporting, as everybody knows. At least we have pushed them to put the true figures in the fine print, but we need the headline figure to be accurate too.

🫠Reform appear to be in meltdown in Exeter. 😳Two councillors reported to the police. 😲Local Party chair sacked. Wherever Reform UK goes, chaos follows and local residents lose out.
Reform branding changed to read Reform Meltdown. It's time for (Reform crossed out and replaced with) chaos.
Below is a Green Party logo with 'For real hope and real change' beside it.

🥳A win for all those who want to wild camp on #Dartmoor and those who support the right to do so.

On the right of the graphic is a thumbnail image of Green councillor in Heavitree Catherine Rees and a quote: "I hope this is a turning point and the government now passes a Right to Roam Act, to protect and extend public rights of responsible access to nature across England."

In an open letter, Green councillors in Devon have called on local leaders & MPs to pull together on plans for local government reorganisation, so we don't end up being carved up by Whitehall.
A graphic showing a letter addressed: To locals leaders and MPs from Devon Green councillors. The text on the letter emerging from the envelope reads: Government has made it very clear that the local government reorganisation in Devon is inevitable, and we intend to engage with this in a positive way to ensure the needs of our communities and environment come first. We are deeply concerned that conflicting plans are being developed behind numerous closed doors, each rushing to meet the Government’s March deadline for initial proposals.

Labour's development plans are failing #Exeter badly. Here's a refreshing approach in Frome...
A screenshot of details of the proposed Saxonvale development in Frome, the UK’s first community-led master plan.

A genuine, mixed-use, town centre extension that Frome deserves.

11,000 sqm of employment space to generate the jobs that Frome needs.

Affordable housing delivery above the 30% policy requirement and a partnership with Frome Community Land Trust who will hold the affordable home freehold.

Distinctive residential neighbourhoods.

Community-owned assets with any profits to be retained for the community of Frome. This will include a new boutique hotel, workshop/studio space, outdoor riverside lido, spa, and rehearsal space for young bands.

A masterplan focussed on sustainability.

Preservation and reuse of historic structures and buildings.

Homes must be built to meet the needs of local communities, rather than what offers developers the greatest profit. That means a high proportion of new homes must be truly affordable council & social housing built to the highest environmental standards so energy bills are kept low. 4/6
